1949 Chevrolet 3100 Additional Info:

For auction is an almost completely original 1949 Chevrolet 3100 short bed truck. I have the original bill of sale from Ferrum Garage in Ferrum, Va dated May 2 1949. The truck was pulled from under a shed about 15 years ago. I replaced the fuel tank and sender, fuel pump, carb kit. I also replaced everything brake related. I change the oil and then replaced the water pump and hoses. I would assume the heater core leaks as someone has bypassed it. About 4 years ago I replaced all the tires and did put tubes in them. This truck runs great. Second gear makes a little noise, but the trans works and shifts fine. The camera that I took the video amplifies the very light valve noise (solid cam). It sounds perfect and revs up with no knocking or unusual noise, and does not smoke. I think the engine has been replaced with a few years newer one with the non babbit bearing style. My friends dad bought this truck brand new. I am just going off what he has told me. The paint is faded where the front end has barely hanging out of the shed it was stored in. That is why 1/2 the hood and the front end have paint fade and slight rust. I think that it has been repainted at one time. The seat needs to be recovered. I tried to keep this truck as original as possible. I have a clear Virginia title in my name. I also have a shop with a lift if you would like to really come check it out. All the lights, horn, gauges, etc. work as they should. No turn signal and no seat belt (not required in 1949).Updated Pictures of truck showing some slight rust damage. Update! Update!
