1949 Chevrolet 3100 Short Bed- Fantastic running and driving truck. Has a later model 6cyl (1958 235) that has plenty of power and runs great. 4 speed in the floor shifts smooth and the clutch is great. Brakes have been overhauled and stop like they should. Truck presents itself well but is an older driver quality restoration and has been used as a truck. It has the occasional ping, chip, and scratch. The family that owned it before me used it to pick there Christmas tree up every year for almost a decade, for parades, and the occasional drive to the hardware store. You will not win any car shows but you will be the center of attention any time you drive it. Body is straight and is not full of bondo. No rust holes or rust bubbling in the body. Paint was done in the 90s and is a driver quality paint job. This is not a show quality paint job. Better than your back yard hobbyist but needs paint if you want a show truck. Truck has been converted to a 12v system, new factory style speedometer gauge, speedometer cable, factory style temp gauge, new front signals, and some of the wiring is all new. The tank has been cleaned, new plugs, new wires, and carb were rebuilt fairly recently. All gauges, lights, wipers, signals, brake lights, work except the fuel gauge. Please understand you are bidding on a truck that is almost 70 years old. It does not ride, drive, or stop like a new car. It has wind noise, rattles, and doesn't like to run much over 60 mph.
