Ok, the time has come….Its time to part with my friend of 14 years. You have heard the story. Life got in the way and I am not able to give her the attention to bring her back to showroom condition so I’m giving someone else a chance to complete the journey and enjoy her. This is a pretty loaded (no power windows or power door locks) Chevrolet C20 with the desirable Camper Special option. That gives you the 454 big block with the Turbo 400 transmission. This 1978 Chevrolet C20 is the perfect addition to any classic truck collection. The vehicle is an original California rig that has a clean Mississippi title and current Antique Registration (in my name) and has been in my possession for about 14 years! I bought the truck in the California area and DROVE it to my then home in Wisconsin. It sat in the garage for the most part - it was NEVER subjected to the northern salt. The truck is now drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. With a beautiful two tone brown and yellow exterior, this classic truck is sure to turn heads. The mileage on the vehicle is approximately 87000, making it a great choice for those who want a classic truck that's been well-maintained. Don't miss out on the chance to own this timeless piece of automotive history. It has no cracks in the glass. As you can see, it is drivable as it is or it is a great candidate for a nut and bolt restoration. For some reason, it is having a fuel delivery issue. It will run all day with an auxiliary fuel source like a plastic gas can. It has two tanks and I’m told maybe it’s the fuel tank selector switch. It does have an electric fuel pump. If you do the restoration, you will probably update the air conditioning system. The tires are maybe 20 years old but they hold air and have plenty of tread. ALL of the components are in tact, even the jack and the spare tire! Passenger door has a little crease but even a novice bodyman can straighten that out. You will need to bring a fresh side post battery to get her started and drive it onto your trailer.
