1961 Chevrolet C-10 Long Bed Additional Info:
MESSAGE me before you bid.
This beautiful truck is a head turner and a daily driver.
My father is a retired mechanic in Las Vegas who buys these old vehicles and fixes them up. When he's done, drive and sell them. Here are the details:
Front suspension is out of a 1986 Chevrolet C10, ith power steering and power disc brakes, oil front springs (stockset-up was torsion bar)Rear end is out of a 1976 Chevy El Camino, 08 ratio rear end, ith five bolt adapter plates so all 4 wheels are modern 5 lug pattern.Motor is a six cylinder 292CI straight 6 marine engine. Single barrel carburetor.Four speed manual transmission, first gear is granny gear)Rear tool box, tep side, resh paint with some signs of minorwear and scratches inside the bed.Current CA registration, leanand clear title in my name. Registered in CA through December of 2016.This is not a hot rod - though it's a great start if you wanna make one. Truck is not perfect, s it's over 54 years old. This is NOT a Toyota Yaris. If you want a warranty, ower windows, nd perfect operation, oyota has plenty of newand used cars for you. ;)• Turn signals don't auto cancel• Actual mileage unknown• Not a hot rod• All gauges work and illuminate• Some dash levers aredisconnected, xcept for the heat blower switch. The heater core flow is controlled via new 3/4" ball valve under the hood tohelp keep cool in summer.•
BRAKES: A-OK. I inspected the brakes more closely, nd decided to replace the front caliper hanger pins (4, oth sides). I also bled the brake lines, and made sure there were no leaks.I adjusted the rear shoes and lubricated the parking brake cable. The pads and shoeshave plenty of life left in them, ut note that when the next brake service becomes due, he rotors will need to be turned.• There are some signs ofsurface rustbeneath some ofthe bed scratches, ut I have not seenanything to worry about• Some bondo was used to SMOOTH THE RIPPLES only. There are no 'through and through' bondo repairs on the body.
Reserve price is set to break even and get my father back what he put into it. I'll stop driving it and start to polish it upafter the reserve is met.
Thanks, nd feel free to ask any questions you like.Contact me before bidding.
