1972 Chevrolet Vega Additional Info:

If you are looking for a beautiful, well optioned, powerful, Lovingly restored, Chevrolet (Chevy) Vega garage queen...this is the one. This car was built with style, uniqueness and horsepower in mind. I purchased this car about 20 years ago from the previous owne, he purchased years before stock from the original owner . The previous owner restored the car and converted it to V8 .. I took it to the next level with a $15k Sikkens re-paint and stripes, Themed it a Z29 and placed a bunch more OEM and custom parts on board. Ill list as much as I can of what the car has below and what I did to it over the 20 years and the previous owners build and it does come with a huge binder of all the restoration and parts and every maintence done on the car.

When I was searching for a Vega I really wanted a beautifully done Baldwin Motion, but I couldnt find one.. there are alot of them out there cloned but I could only find a couple that were really nicely done and they were not for sale.. so I ended up buying one that was meticuosly restored and would then theme it from there.. Any Chevy or Vega enthusiast knows there were several Auto Dealers that were building muscle cars and theming them back then. There are several Motion parts on this car that were ordered from Baldwin Motio, but I decided to go a different route. Yenko wound of not worked as the Stinger was a 4 cylinder turbo, and there was Scuncio but there wasnt much show and flash with that other than a fender sticker.. I learned of a Z-29 that was built by Kline Motors in Virginia, from what I could learn there were only 2 of them built. They took the Z 29 engine out if the camaro used the Don Hardy kit to convert the car, had specialty Z-29 badges made for the car and styled it with ralley Stripes, front and rear spoilers and did a Yenko Style striping down the side with the labeling Chevy Z-29 where Yenko would of been placed. none of the cars exist today and this is the closest I could come to in replicating one. You can research it on the Supercars website. The only thing I havent been able to find over the years is a original Kline Chevy rear badge from early 70s perhaps the next owner can find one out there to put a final touch on the car.

This car is beautiful inside and out and most all of the parts replaced in the restoration are new OEM parts which took years to aquire in the long build. It comes with some goodies as well, many shop manuals, Fisher Body parts manual., a huge binder of all the reciepts ever done on the car... some vega memoriabilia, patches, stickers, advertising promo pieces, and some spare part, I have a brand new Carb rebuilt kit from Summit, about every chevy vega magazine I could find featuring some kind of vega in it in 2 large magazine binders.. spare Z-29 badge and some other
Why am I selling it? Well Ive debated over 5 years now about selling this and finally decided to. It mostly sits up on the rack comes down once every two months started and drive around the black a couple times and back up on the rack again.. Im tired of the car shows now which is what I did alot of with the car back then.. so its mostly a garage queen and its a beast, its loud, obnoxious, runs like a raped ape and gets like 5 MP, awesome car to show off..take to cruise ins or the track.. it turns heads and Ive taken alot of 1st place trophys at shows with it but I feel its time now that I just want a simple vintage driver stock... and have my eyes on something with less frills that I can drive around for fun.

along with the pictures I have many mor, there is a few videos I have one here you can watch..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NeblJA0ACWI
and as you can see in the video, which I uploaded 9 years ago the odometer showed 1000 miles since resto.. I now have 1250 on it so that shows how little ive driven it over the last 9 years..
