1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Nomad Additional Info:
In classic automobile parlance, Tri-Five refers to the 1955, 1956 & 1957 Chevrolets, most popular being the Chevrolet Bel Air. Revolutionary in their day, they spawned a cult following that is bigger today than it’s ever been, w/ websites and entire businesses that exclusively cater to the enthusiasts of Chevrolet Tri-Five automobiles. They are simply timeless and are loved dearly by the young as well as the old. The Nomad arrived just in time to line up w/ the Tri-Five Chevys, the most famous Chevrolets ever built, and became an icon in the process. Maybe that’s why the Nomad has always been so popular, as the ‘The Hot One’ (the term Chevrolet used for advertising), really did transform Chevrolet in 1955, and for decades beyond.
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very excited to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad, finished in its factory original two-tone color combination of (Code 700) Sierra Gold & Adobe Beige, wrapped around an exquisite custom two-tone tan interior. This ’56 Nomad is a complete show-stopper folks! The total restoration was completed a few years back, but it looks like it was just done yesterday. All of the original body panels were completely block sanded, and are laser straight all of the way around the car. The Sierra Gold/Adobe Beige base-coat/clear coat paint was meticulously buffed & polished to a mirror-like shine that is simply second to none. You really have to see the paint quality on this car in person to appreciate how gorgeous it truly is. All of the stainless steel trim has been polished to perfection, and all of the chrome pieces, garnish rails, etc. have been re-chromed and are in show quality condition throughout. You can walk around this car a hundred times and you will never find a bad angle. She sits on polished American Racing wheels (17” on the rear & 16” up front), wrapped w/ BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp radial tires (245/45/ZR17 on the rear & 225/50/ZR16 up front). Again, this Nomad is pure ‘eye-candy’ in every sense of the term!
Open the driver’s door and you will find an absolutely gorgeous custom two-tone tan vinyl/cloth interior that was designed for total comfort and functionality. Interior features include: complete Dynamat sound-deadening installation throughout, custom bucket seats (6-way electric seat on driver side), dual-consoles (front & rear) w/ cup holders & storage, original body-colored dash w/ digital clock, power windows (powered window cranks look original), painted tilt-steering column w/ painted 15” original-style steering wheel (original was 18”), billet shifter lever, 1969 Camaro gauge cluster custom-mounted on the console, Vintage Air Conditioning & Heat, Alpine Sound System, including an Alpine CDE-HD0149BT AM/FM/CD/Sirius/Bluetooth receiver (mounted in glove box), Alpine amplifier (under the passenger seat), (6) Alpine surround sound speakers, Alpine 8” Subwoofer (mounted in the center of rear console), and beautiful color-keyed carpeting throughout the front & back. This interior is absolutely gorgeous & extremely comfortable w/ all of the 'creature comforts' needed for an outstanding driving experience. Please look closely at the photos to see what a wonderful job they did creating this custom interior.
Pop open the hood and inside the nicely detailed engine bay resides a 350ci SBC motor featuring: chrome valve covers w/ ‘Chevrolet’ logo, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold, Edelbrock 650cfm carburetor, MSD distributor & MSD coil, serpentine belt-drive system, electric fuel-pump, custom aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans & BeCool billet reservoir, dual-master brake cylinder (disc brakes up front & drum brakes in rear), original cast-iron exhaust manifolds, complete dual exhaust system (sounds great but not too loud), etc. The 350ci SBC motor is linked to a 700R4 automatic transmission w/ overdrive, which feeds power to the original Chevrolet rear-end w/ 3.55 gear-ratio. She fires up instantly w/ a flick of the wrist, and she runs & drives beautifully in every way. This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad is an absolute BLAST to drive and gets all the attention in the world. Whether you are simply cruising around town or out on the freeway for a long haul, this ’56 Nomad drives the way you want your classic Chevrolet to drive! It just has so much eye-appeal that anywhere that you park it, there will be a crowd around the car within minutes.
If you have been searching for a classic Chevrolet that can win ‘First Place’ awards at any car event, but can also be driven & enjoyed to the fullest, it’s going to be very hard to find a finer example than this outstanding 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad!
