1974 Chevrolet Corvette Additional Info:
This is an all original 1974 Corvette Convertible. It is very highly optioned with the L-82 engine, PS, PB, PW, A/C, Tilt/Tele column, two tops, deluxe leather interior and automatic transmission. It has its original matching number engine. In fact I think everything is original to this car with the exception of one repaint back in the 1970's. It needs another one. The paint is weak. The frame and birdcage are excellent. The front and rear bumpers have been replaced with what seems like the correct Urethane bumpers and they are in excellent condition. The tires are all good. This car runs great and can probably be driven home, but I advise against it. The original carb acts up once in awhile and the brakes are a little spongy. They only made 5474 convertibles in 1974 and 6690 L-82 cars. In fact, the L-82 high performance 350 option cost more than the 454 big block in 1974. There were probably less than 1000 L-82 convertibles ever made. It even has its original hardtop. The soft top is in excellent condition as well. The interior of the car is original, but it is little tired. The headlights are intermittent. There is also a lot of owner history with this car. The original owner, whose name and address are on the protecto plate, sold the car in 1978 to the second owner. A copy of the second owner's title is included and it shows mileage of 29,711 when he bought the car in 1978. The second owner sold the car in 1982 to his friend and the title indicates it had 61,065 miles on it at that point. The second owner bought the car back from his friend in 2019 and the mileage on the title shows 90,806 in 2019. You can't get much better mileage documentation than that. This is a very rare car and although it does need paint and some interior work it is one of only a few remaining examples of the pinnacle of Chevrolet design in the mid 1970's. Add in the very rare and desirable color of Corvette Orange and you get one rare bird. Please be serious if you bid. Deposit is nonrefundable.
