1948 Chevrolet 3100 Additional Info:
EXTERIOR: This pickup has great patina, lots of character, it's got bumps, lumps, crust, rust, all applied by mother nature and covered with Penetrol to protect it. The cab has been sealed up on the inside to keep all the patina on the outside, cab corners have been sealed with metal and the floor are solid. The pickup has 1951-1953 Doors with wing windows. It has all new tinted glass and window rubbers, door seals and door glass channel. The pickup was converted from a 3 window to a 5 window in March 2022.New complete wiring harness, headlights, park lights, taillights, brake lights, 7” 3rd brake light, all lights and brake lights work. Turn signals and Newport wipers all work. 1953 Nash hood ornament. King Bee orange marble reflector. Metal trunk in bed is 38’ x 22” x 14” deep. Battery and disconnect cut off switch is in the metal trunk.
INTERIOR:The interior upholstery is new, vinyl seats, door panels, seatbelts, eBrake, H3R Halguard fire extinguisher, insulation in roof and floors, carpet. Has a new hot rod heater and defroster works great. Trico vacuum fan, oil cans converted to bottle holders. Has original 18” steering wheel. Suicide knob, Kenwood stereo in the glovebox and a speaker in the dash.Guages are Classic Instruments. The speedometerdoesn’t work due to electronic interference from the HolleyTerminator X EFI carburetor. I use a speedometer app on my cellphone.
DRIVETRAIN:The motor is a Blueprint 355/390 horsepower with a 4 bolt main block, aluminum cylinder heads with stainless steel valves 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust, Holley Terminator X EFI carburetor, power steering pump, high torque mini starter, aluminum radiator with Cooling Concepts electric fan. Battery with disconnect cut off switch in metal trunk.New 200-4R Stage II transmission installed Jan 2022 with Bowler Tru Shift, Lokar 200R4 32” Black Shifter. Hedman headers with dual exhaust, x pipe, with 2 1/2” electric cutouts, Lake pipes are ceramic coated. New 16 gallon fuel tank from "Tanks" relocated under the bed with a Tanks GPA4 fuel pump to prevent fuel starvation while accelerating or cornering. 4,000 miles on Cooper Cobra tires, 255/60/15 on the rear and 235/60/15 up front, new steel wheels 15x8 rear and 15x7 up front with baby moon caps.
SUSPENSION:This 1948 pickup is riding on a 2001 Chevy S10 frame and suspension that has been cleaned and painted, new brake lines, brake calipers, pads, rotors, master cylinder and power brake booster. Front drop spindles. S10 rear axle ratio is 3.73
