1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 454 Additional Info:
This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino has a well-coordinated color combo, nice upgrades, and the unmistakable appeal of big block power under the hood. So dig into the details on a muscle machine that's already been done just the way you like it.
It's hard for this one to go unnoticed. The bright red paint was an upgrade later in life, and so it retains a nice gloss and shine today. The white SS stripes painted on the hood are sporty, the vinyl top is truly premium, and together they give an almost two-tone kind of style against the red. And since you want a real aggressive machine with the right SS additions, this one has the blacked-out grille, a cowl induction hood, hood pins and correct SS badging. Plus, the Cragar SS wheels have both the name and the style to fit into the Super Sport theme. These wheels also have a terrific shine that combine with the mirror-like bumpers and complete trim to give this a true classic American feel.
Open the doors to a cool-looking interior. The crisp white bench seat with the matching door panels and headliner seem to be immersed in a sea of black. It all makes for a tasteful color combo that looks distinct where you want it, and it's durable in the high traffic areas like the carpeting. The wide bench is comfortable enough to sit up to three across, and the AM/FM radio with USB and Bluetooth is ready to keep everyone entertained. But the best upgrades are just for the driver. That's why there's a tilt column with NK4 sports steering wheel. It gives you nice grip and a clear view to the white-faced gauge cluster that includes a long speedometer and working tachometer. There's even a matching auxiliary readout trio cleanly mounted under the dash.
The engine bay is stuffed with a well detailed 454 cubic inch V8. The dark inner walls draw attention to the middle with a proper Chevy Orange block paint, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner, and Trick Flow chrome valve covers. While a big block already makes a mighty motor, this one has been upgraded further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock Performer 2.0 Intake. There have also bene good investments in supporting components, like the dual electric fans and upgraded polished pulleys on a serpentine belt system. This big block fires up nicely, and there's a terrific bass-filled rumble from the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs up front all come together to make this big V8 El Camino a terrific all-around classic cruiser.
Big power and the right features all come together on an El Camino to make a classic that you know you want to gets your hands on right now.
