1979 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
This 1979 Chevrolet El Camino is optioned with a replacement GM crate 350 motor believed to be near 300 horsepower when the original 305 was removed. The Odometer was near 100,000 when the engine transplant took place. The odometer was advanced to 0 at completion of engine swap. The original Saginaw four speed and posi rear are still present, documented by the build sheet. Clutch, throw out and pressure plate were replace at the switch of engines. Two inch drop spindles with new bushings and ball joints and tie rod ends at that time. The rear has boxed trailing arms and performance sway bar. The engine has an Edelbrock manifold with a factory rebuilt Quadra Jet. Custom headers and cat with Flow Masters and dual exhaust. Four core aluminum radiator and tanks, cold A/C, P/S, PDB and working vapor recovery system. I do not live in a county that testes, but it was tested when installed and passed. Interior has new door panels, stereo dash pad, stereo, aftermarket working gauges and tach. Hurst linkage, shifts easily and crisp. Door panels are new and seats are in very good condition. New rubber window/door seals. Two inch cowl fiberglass hood, stock hood lock and pins and it has a 3M wrap. Tuxedo black paint about 5 to 7 years old, not concourse, some rock chips and light scratches. Emblems have all been removed as well as the license well on the tailgate. Powder coated blackout trim, blackout headlight trim included. Rhino sprayed bed. New windshield. Roof is slightly faded from Arizona sun. Probably the last of the real muscle cars with the V8, Factory four speed manual, COLD A/C options available in the country right now. I am sure I have forgotten many details, please email for more pix or info. Did I mention this has been an Arizona RUST FREE CAR for the past 35 years ??? A new project has focused attention from this car and she has been doing more sitting than being used. She is very dependable and reliable, ready for a new home. I am not really interested in a trade, but if you are local I may consider a later model good daily and some cash. Otherwise contact me with if you are truly interested, I would like to recover the storage space, I am open to cash. Buyer pays shipping and makes all arrangements, I can assist with load and meeting shipper. I can ship to a 500 mile radius at a discount. Don't miss the opportunity to purchase a rare manual shift El Camino with cold A/C that runs, drives, handles and performs very well !!!
