I am listing this 1973 Chevrolet El Camino for my friend. You may contact him directly with your questions.
My father purchased this oddly optioned, 1973 El Camino brand new at Randolph Chevrolet in Camden, NJ. Originally a light blue, standard trim model, with a 307, 2bbl., 3 speed manual transmission, A/C, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes and a 3.73:1 positraction 10 bolt rear. He worked at home and the Elky basically hauled his enduro bike to the woods on weekends and served as a secondary car and only did light hauling. As with most silver based metallic paints of the time, the top surface faded and he had the present paint done in 1980. My father always had it serviced and changed the oil regularly. Eventually, at about 70,000 miles he had a remanufactured 350 installed, when the 307 needed a cam and head work. The car has 134,000 on the odometer at the present time. The underside and frame are straight and solid. The rust is mainly in the outer rear quarter panels, as you can see in the photos. New skins are readily available in the aftermarket world, for a fair price. The bed is solid and not beat up. I assumed ownership of the El Camino about 7 years ago. I took care of it and fixed what needed to be fixed, while driving it daily. Presently the car has been sitting and it’s time to move her on. This 1st year Colonnade bodied GM El Camino is your perfect candidate for build your LS powered, 6speed, upgraded suspension, 18”/20” wheels Resto-Mod / Pro-Touring dream. Make a dream come true. I have a clear New Jersey TITLE, in my name, in my hand.
