1979 Chevrolet Corvette Base Additional Info:
Up for bid is a 1979 Corvette. I purchased this car in 2012 from an elderly man who purchased it in 1980 who then garaged it after his wife died in 1990. I thought it to be a good project and thus far it has been. As you can see in the pictures my first order of business was to change the color. So I went from brown to black. Everything else is pretty much stock, except for the header system and true duel exhaust from the headers all the way to the magna flow performance exhaust. Also Put a brand new GT suspension both exhaust and suspension are from corvette central. Brand new tires BF Goodrich. Next to no miles on them. Engine has been tuned up, besides the T-tops I also purchased new a 1 piece glass targa top. I recently removed the old air condition unit never tried to use it. I still have it if you want it. Since I had this car my wife and I may have went out on dinner dates downtown Chicago maybe twice a year in the summer and wherever we went people would always take pictures of the car. So altogether I may have put 1500 miles on the car since I've had it.
The things that I would have liked to have fixed was the radio and clock and replace the seats, the driver seat especially since it has some signs of wear (as you can see in pic). Passenger side not that bad. The radio and clock may only need a fuse. It never was that big of an issue. The car runs great and the pictures don't really do it justice. It's a MUST see car, one that won't disappoint. My intentions were to keep the car but we recently found out my wife is pregnant so her baby comes first. So my loss is someone's gain. And in case you didn't know every year that goes by, this car increases in value $1,000-$3,000 depending. My name is Pete here's my phone number please call if you have questions. (312) 502-8532. Only serious buyers! This car will be up for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Clear title and it is in my hand. $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction ending and is NON REFUNDABLE if you change your mind.
NO RESERVE!!!!! AGAIN NO RESERVE!
