1969 Chevelle SS Survivor 396/375hp
I have had the pleasure of owning this chevelle for the past 5 years. It's not often that a car of this caliber comes up for sale. This is an unmolested car with matching numbers engine. It still has it's original interior and all of the born with steel. The only flaw in the original paintthat you can see is on top of the driver's fender where many years ago somebody shot a blend. I have no idea what the original damage was. It's small enough you really can't see in pictures. I believe when blend was done clear was shot on at least part of the adjacent hood. The vast majority of these cars were 4 speeds and I can't imagine there were many column automatics especially many without the gauge package. This one came with the rare option ofchambered exhaust. Buyer has option of the 15"wheels with Bfg radials that are on it or the 14" wheels with goodyear tires shown in picture
Mechanically this car is about as nice as it gets. The engine fires right up and runs smoothly. When cold the choke operates as it should. It is an absolute dream to drive and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It stops straight and true and has very tight suspension and steering. As you would expect from a 28k mile car. The tranny shifts and kicks down to passing gear as it should. There is a working smog pump with all of it's components.
The body is very flat as you would expect and absolutely no rust. There are very few chips and almost no dings of any kind. The paint still has a very nice shine to it and it's hard to believe it could still be that nice. The white vinyl top is inexcellent condition as well. All chrome and stainless are in very nice condition. All glass is clear with almost no defects and all windows roll up and down and align to each other.
The original interior is in excellent shape for it's age with just a little wear on driver's seat. The dash pad is nice and the gauges are crisp and clear. All gauges work except for the gas gauge which just recently quit working. The carpet, headliner. seats, and door panels are all original to the car.
As you can see this is a well documented original survivor. It is in excellent shape in all ways. That being said it is a 51 year old car and I could have left something out. There are no warranties written expressed or implied and the chevelle is sold where is as is. All inspections should be done prior to auction ending. I will assist shipper as I can. Car should be picked up within 30 days of auction ending unless prior arrangements have been made. Any trades up or down? 636 219 7298 Thanks Bill
