1970 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport Additional Info:
1970 El Camino SS, 454, 4-speed, 12 bolt positraction, tach and gauge package, cowl induction hood, power steering, power disc brakes, and am/8 track. I purchased this car 2 years ago with intentions of doing a nut and bolt rotisserie and just can’t seem to find the time or motivation to get started so here we are. I purchased this car from the gentleman who purchased this car in 1998 the way you see it in these pictures. The car currently has 43,000 miles on it which are believed to be actual. Previous owner said he put about 10,000 miles on it from 1998-2018, I have put less than 100 miles on it. The paint on the car was an amateur paint job done prior to 1998. This car has an amazingly rust free body, bed and floor pans. The engine is a LS6 454 that previous owner believes is the original to the car. The original broach marks are still on the front pad along with the authentic “T0226CRV”. Stamp but it looks like someone went back in at a later date and stamped the partial vin. I have the original LS6 intake (not on the car) and the original valve covers. All the original deep groove pulleys are still on the engine. The original distributor and carb are gone, I hate to admit this but I removed them for another LS6 project a year ago. The transmission is currently the original M22 internals put into an aftermarket Auto Gear case due to a crack in the original case. This change was done in 2001. Rear end is what I believe to be the original CRV 12 bolt 3:31 geared positraction. The car is a running driving car that runs great and sounds like a real LS6 engine should sound. But it is what I refer to as a very common type driver car that really needs a restoration. You won’t find a better body to start with. Now for all the guys who are going to give me crap about it being a real LS6 car..... no, I don’t have a build sheet!!! I really do think this is a real car but if you don’t, please, no negative comments or emails just move on to something else. My reserve price reflects what I am advertising. Regardless it is a solid great car with an authentic LS6 engine. Some other miscellaneous info. The car is a Kansas City built car and was shipped to Frank Hurling Chevrolet in Sacramento California to be sold. I do have the NCRS shipping report. I could go on much longer but I won’t. Feel free to email or call with serious questions and also to come and inspect the car in person. Fouroneseventhreetwosevenfiveeightsixnine. 9am to 9pm central time. I do reserve the right to end the auction early for any reason. Clear title in hand. No scammers!!!! Car don’t leave til paid in full. Thanks for looking.
