1970 Chevrolet El Camino Additional Info:
1970 Chevrolet El Camino 4 speed in Excellent Condition. This is a California car.All Suspension components replaced including rear upper and lower control arms with new bushings, all tie rod ends, Pitman Arm, Idler Arm, Drag Link, and Power Steering Box.Car has new GM Disc Brakes including Rotors, Calipers, Spindles, Brake Lines, Master Cylinder, and Booster Can. It drives like a new El Camino from 1970. No rattles or sqeeks, it drives quietly and it will stop on a Dime. The Brakes are incredible.
Small Block 350 Engine rebuilt 4500 miles ago using the best parts. Very fast and reliable.Carburator replaced recently with a Holly 600cfm electric choke and it starts quickly and idles smoothly. Doug Thorley Headers, Edelbrock Manifold, Mild Cam.
Interior details are beautiful with the Rare Bucket Seat/Center Console option.Stereo FM/CD in-dash CD player with Yamaha Speakers. Tilt Wheel.Tachometer and all gauges work perfectly. Horn works but intermitantly, needs contact adj.Seats and headliner are matched in classic black corduroy.Glove box locks with round key as it should, original Ignition Key and spares included.
Factory Muncie M-21 close ratio Transmission shifts tight and positive.12 Bolt Positraction Rear End. 308 gears, good for highway mileage.Fresh Centerline wheels and Firehawk Tires make this car really handle well in the turns.Interior is missing small metal ash tray insert. Air Grill at windshild has two small holes.Rust is almost non-existant on this car however I suspect that there is two small spots in the back of the front fender bottoms where El Caminos tend to have this happen. It is not visible however.Windshild washer resevoir and pump in car, rare to see still after 46 years. Will need new hose.Class III Trailer Hitch, slider type. The paint is beautiful but not show quality, some small flaws are visible at very close range. They are not visible in photographs.Bed is Armour coated for safety. About 7 years ago I slipped while standing in the bed from rain. With the Armour coat, it grips your shoes firmly even while very wet.I have used this El Camino for many years to haul materials. It has never let me down.Car is overall extremely nice and comparable to high end cars usually sold at big Auctions.
