1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Additional Info:
Up for sale is a classic 1955 Chevy two-door 150 Utility Sedan. The car is set up in the classic 1960's Gasser/Street Racer style and maintains the period correct details many of the cars built in this style do not. Exactly like the cars originally built in this enduring popular style, this car was built with the sole purpose of going fast with no added creature comforts that would not mix with that style. Under the steel hood with an added Ford Thunderbolt teardrop scoop is an all business vintage healthy 11:1 compression 327ci small-block backed by a matching period Muncie four-speed transmission. Power from the front is sent back to a stout late fifties Oldsmobile rearend. Everything under the hood and body is just as clean as on top of this just completed build. The body and sheetmetal are all nice solid pieces that have been sprayed in light blue Hot Rod Flatz paint but since I own a a paint and restoration shop the 55 can be taken to another level with shiny paint in a color of your choice for a reasonable amount very easily. All the glass, rubber seals and most chrome trim are brand new (not tired old worn out stuff). Inside is the same with simple basics with new leather bucket seats, carpet, back platform mat and paint on dash and window garnish mouldings. Inside the the trunk has been sprayed with a Zolotone style textured paint over the solid original trunk floor. So whether yo like it as is or want to make changes this '55 is a great car you will surely enjoy. Let me know if you have any questions. Car is located in Lewes DE. Jim 818/433-0578
