1962 Chevrolet Impala Additional Info:

A total body off the frame, high quality restoration. A folder of build receipts is included.
EXTERIOR: Has a stunning body and paint restoration. This body is laser straight, I'm looking down both sides and it's like a blue mirror. The panels fit spot on like a new Lexus. The doors click shut. I did not find any bubbles, cracks or issues and thus paint was done in 2001! I absolutely love the dark blue metallic. It is polished like blue glass. You may not have noticed, there are very faint looking ghost flames on the fenders and doors. The jambs are meticulous. Has stainless bolts, polished latches, new weatherstrips. The trim is outstanding, either replaced or restored. Upfront the grill, bumper, bezels and all the trim is like new. The spears on top of the fenders, the emblems, door handles, bowtie mirrors, dual antenna, moldings down the sides look new. All the stainless trim around the windows and the top of the doors is straightened and polished. In back the tailpanel is pristine- tail lights, bumper, trim. All the glass is crystal clear, chrome frames are mint. Has great looking Halibrand aluminum wheels with spinners. 14 inch in front, 15s in back. Has fat Mickey Thompson tires in back too.
INTERIOR: Interior was professionally custom made. Tweed trimmed with vinyl and genuine snakeskin. The upholstery matches on the headliner and door panels. Custom made center console has cup holders! Premium carpet with matching embroidered floormats. The dash is painted as beautifully as the car and it has billet trim, Dakota Digital gauges and modern stereo. It also has billet window cranks, seat belts front and back and custom steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Genuine 409 motor with a really cool 6 pack carb set up. It was completely rebuilt, has receipt. Edelbrock aluminum intake has 6 polished carbs. To keep things more reliable it runs off 2, the others are not hooked up. Dressed up with old school finned air cleaners that match the Offenhauser valve covers. It also has block hugger headers and MSD distributor. Features power steering and brakes. The whole engine bay is painted the same blue as the exterior of the car. Runs cool thanks to the 4 row radiator, flex fan as well as an electric fan. There's an overflow bottle, custom dip sticks on the engine and trans. There is a transmission cooler in front of the radiator. Has a gel cell battery with a billet hold down. It certainly has a wow factor when you open the hood.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: it is really nicely boxed. It has a flat floor that is carpeted, when you lift it up, its fully carpeted under that too. Has side panels, the back panel opens up for a storage compartment. Even the bottom of the trunk lid is lined. Jambs are as nice as the exterior, new weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: Body was off the frame, the chassis was completely restored. The bare frame and suspension was powder coated. The front end is completely rebuilt- springs, shocks, balljoints, bushings replaced. Rear springs, air shocks and bushings are replaced, has panhard bar. Completely updated brake system with disc at all 4 wheels. New lines, hoses and e-brake assembly. Custom bent exhaust follows the frame and exits out each side with stainless tips. Has Pypes stainless mufflers. Looking up at the motor it is still fresh, the freeze plugs look new. Has chrome flywheel cover. Rebuilt turbo 400 automatic has a chrome pan. Completly restored rear end. The floors look very clean, they were cleaned and neatly sprayed with a thin rubberized coating. You can see the braces, seams, inner rockers and 1/4s are clean. Fuel system was replaced including tank, sending unit and lines. The bottom of this car is practically new. All the components down to the hardware look fresh.
This is a high quality build top to bottom, it would cost $100,000 to duplicate. It is a sharp looking, the stance, color and wheels set it off. A 409 with 6 carbs is certainly a conversation piece.
