1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Additional Info:

Selling my 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with only 62,000 miles on the body. It has been restored and upgraded over the past couple of years, and is super-clean. This has been a project of mine as I used to have a similar car when I was younger, and I've been re-living my youth. But now I got involved in other projects, so sadly this needs to go. This started out as a super solid original grandma car with all original sheet metal that was in great shape. Frame is excellent no rot at all. Added a lot of performance goodies, refreshed interior, and new paint job.
Here's a list of all the work that has gone into the car...
- Installed rebuilt 327 Small Block Chevy engine, new cam with nice rumble, rebuilt high compression heads, aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4 barrel carb, long tube headers, new aluminum radiator, all new engine accessories, hoses, belts, etc. Engine is VERY responsive, tons of "pep" breaks tires loose easily.
- Rebuilt TH350 Transmission with high stall torque converter.
- Installed a Monte SS Posi-traction rear axle with 3:73 gears.
- Refreshed interior including new headliner, new carpet, new dash cover, new radio and speakers. Dash, instrument cluster and door panels are in EXCELLENT condition. Seats are original...back seat is almost perfect, front seat has a few rips on driver side that have been sewn up to keep it from getting worse. Interior is Ultra-Clean since its mostly new.
- Brand new aftermarket Vintage Air conditioning system installed.
- New professional base coat clear coat paint job in metallic grey. Not a pristine high-dollar paint job, some minor flaws here and there but shows very well, looks sharp, and has nice shine. I'd rate it an 8 out of 10.
- All new rubber seals around doors and windows.
- New grille and headlight bezels, and bumper trim, exterior chrome trim is excellent, all glass is in great shape.
- Brand new BF Goodrich tires all around.
- Aluminum American Racing wheels are in excellent shape.
- Driver side front and rear floor pans had some holes, and have been replaced with new floor pans.
This car does need a few small things that I have not gotten around to doing:
- The brand new air conditioning system needs to be charged with freon.- Speedometer reads too fast...needs to be recalibrated.- Horn does not work, needs a new relay I believe.- I had an aftermarket temp and oil pressure gauge that I removed, wires have been left under the dash.- Missing spare tire and jack- A couple other minor things that I'm sure I'm forgetting about
This car is fun to drive! Its fairly loud (dual exhaust), very quick off the line, handles well and stops well. A really neat well cared for car to relive the 80's, turn some heads, and go to car shows.
The pictures tell a lot of the story, but feel free to ask me questions.
