Launched for 1967, Chevrolets Camaro immediately stole market share from Fords Mustang and went on to become one of Americas most popular specialty cars. Value-priced from just $2,466 for the basic hardtop coupe, the Camaro was available with virtually every Chevrolet factory option, including a broad range of powertrain combinations. The Camaro proved to be a successful gamble for Chevrolet, with production for the 1967 model year reaching nearly 221,000 vehicles. The Rally Sport option was available on all Camaro models, featuring hide-away headlights, special taillights, RS emblems and upgraded trim. The SS Super Sport option package was also available for performance fans with special appearance features and the 295 HP L48 350 V-8 engine as standard equipment.
Equipped with both the Rally Sport and Super Sport options, this restored 1967 Chevrolet Camaro features the matching numbers drivetrain including the RPO L48 350 CI V-8 engine rated at 295 HP, Powerglide automatic transmission and 3.31:1 rear end. Featuring validated Protect-O-Plate and cowl tags, this first-year Camaro RS/SS is well equipped with a Deluxe interior including floor console, air conditioning, AM radio, tilt steering wheel, power steering and factory Rally wheels, plus a mounted spare tire and roadside jack. A thorough inspection, detail and sorting was recently completed by The Last Detail. Finished in Bolero Red paint with a Black vinyl roof and Black interior, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is highly attractive throughout and stands as a desirable, highly equipped example of the first-year Camaro.
