1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible Additional Info:
You're looking at a restored 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible that has a performance-built stroker V8, well-paired overdrive transmission, upgraded suspension, and a bucket seat A/C interior. So while the color of this droptop is a cool blue, the performance is red hot.
This was an awesome year for the Chevelle. The styling is best described as crisp where each fender came to a well-defined point front and rear. Plus, there were nicely creased lines running the full length of the car. And you can see that so nicely today because the body was done right during the full restoration. It was completed in 2016 and only about 7,000 miles have been put on the car since then, so it retains the crispness that defines a '67 Chevelle. It was refinished in color similar to 1967's Nantucket Blue, and so it has a very period-correct premium vibe you want in an upper-level Malibu. But the SS-style hood and Centerline forged alloys are a clear signal this was built for performance, too.
With the flip of a switch the crisp black roof powers down to reveal a nice black interior. The seats, door panels, dash, carpeting, and details received plenty of attention during the restoration, and so they uphold this car's crisp tradition. It has all the right vintage pieces you want in a driver's classic, including the bucket seats, center console, and a three-spoke steering wheel (power steering) that gives you a view of the speedometer that's as long as the horizon. Plus, they added handy upgrades, like the water temperature gauge and a retro-style radio that has a classic look but a modern digital AM/FM tuner with input for your iPod. And the modern R134a air conditioning means you can cruise with the top down long into the summer season.
One look under the hood, and you can instantly see there was a ton invested here. This 383 cubic-inch stroker V8 offers big block displacement in a small block weight. Plus, it's a professional build that includes a ton of go-fast goodies, like AFR 195 aluminum heads, Comp Cams CS-XR270HR-10 camshaft, hydraulic roller rockers, long tube headers, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, and large Holley 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor on top. But what makes a muscle machine like this an all-around great classic are the added driving features. For example, the 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle the enhanced V8, it has a 2200 RPM stall to keep you in an ideal powerband, and it's also smooth enough for overdrive cruising. There's even an aluminum radiator to help keep this running cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. As you look underneath the car, you're going to see terrific suspension upgrades. Up front are tubular A-arms, a thick Hotchkis sway bar, and Wilwood power disc brakes. In the rear are boxed trailing arms, a sway bar, and Bilstein shocks.
Complete with build receipts, this is combines crisp looks on the outside, A/C comfort on the inside, and serious power under the hood. So to find it all on a classic Chevelle convertible is truly an irresistible package. Call now!
