This 1963 Chevy II looks great and is a blast to drive. It sounds amazing with it's lopey idle and aggressive exhaust. It gets a lot of attention at the local car shows. This Chevy II will effortlessly burn the tires up if you get into it but, it will also cruise easy on the highway if you want to take it out for a nice drive. A lot has been done to this car to make it drive well and stop more safely. This car is a great deal because so much has been done to it already but not so much that you can't make it your own. You could easily make this car work at the drag strip or you could go the other way and go autocross... or do nothing at all and drive it for years like it is.
It is powered by a very responsive, freshly worked 407 small block with a Scat rotating assembly. It has a hydraulic roller cam from Howard's Cams (.233/.241 @ .050"). It is fed by an 800cfm Quick Fuel Carburetor sitting on Brodix aluminum manifold and heads. It has 1 3/4" Hooker headers and a custom flow master exhaust. Dual electric fans keep it running steady at 180 even on hot summer days.
The power goes to the back wheels through a new worked 700r4 with 3500 stall speed. It was literally just done weeks ago by Michael's Transmissions in Waterford, NJ. He built this application specifically for this engine. It shifts lightning fast and crisp. I was told by the previous owner that it has a 3.73 final drive ratio. I have no reason to believe otherwise.
This car steers and stops straight as an arrow with a brand new CPP steering column, CPP power steering conversion with the quicker 400 series steering box, and CPP 4 wheel disc brakes.
The interior is also fresh with newer carpets, headliner, seats and door panels. Everything works as it should in this car... heat, fans, lights, ducts, turn signals, wipers, dome light, etc. The dash and engine were just rewired with American Autowire harnesses. The gauges are all brand new from Classic Dash with all vintage style electronic Autometer gauges. I also will include Vintage Air A/C that has never been installed.
All shop manuals and receipts for parts and labor are included with sale.
