1971 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
I am listing my 1971 Camaro Split Bumper SS Clon, I purchased this in March of 2018 from a dishonest Classic Car dealer who said it was a real SS - frame off restoration. I should have done my homework.. There was lots of money spent on the car, when I purchased it for 25k it had new interior, upholstery console, dash. New trunk, fuel tank. The paint is a mix and almost changes color in the sun.I have totally redone the drivetrain, brand new 383Stroker motor that has 474hp and 494ft pds of torque. FiTech fuel injection, rather than change the fuel tank with the pump inside I installed their command center where the battery was. I relocated the battery to the trunk. While I was waiting for the motor to be built I went thru the front end, everything is brand new. I purchased springs for a big block so the car sits up in the front. I think it looks old Sokol. When I put the motor in I welded Hotchkins sub frame connectors in and also installed traction bars. On the first trip out with the new motor I was backing it in my driveway and blew the 4-speed Auto Gear out of Syracuse NY I believe took over Muncie and they built me a sweet M23 which is the new version of the M22 Rock Crusher.. I changed the clutch to a McLeod Street Performance and also purchased a new Hurst Competition Plus Shifter. Eddie Motorsports aluminum hood hinges, I still have to put the hood on as I drove it with the hood off for show.. hasn’t seen the rain since I’ve had it. Also polished aluminum vents in the door jambs. I have over $40k in the car, is it perfect no. It has a few chips in the paint but it is a sweet driver that gets lots of attention and thumbs up.. Selling it to work on a new project .. eight for five seven eight one zero seven five nine I have a video of this runnin, it sounds awesome.. I have this insured for 40k thru Hagerty Insurance, I’m going to take a loss but I’m not going to give it away.. if you were to find one that needed a ton of work how much would you have in it.. not counting your time and that is if you can do the work. Any questions please let me know..
