1970 Chevrolet Impala Custom Coupe Additional Info:
1970 Impala Custom Coupe
Selling an original 1970 Impala Custom Coupe that has been stored since 1997 in a climate controlled garage. Only rust is a small spot on the driver’s rear quarter panel next to the wheel well. Interior is flawless and all original (see pics) with power door locks, remote mirror, Comfortron AC, tilt wheel and factory tissue dispenser. Vinyl roof nearly mint as well. Dent on top of rear driver’s side quarter panel. Some trim pieces damaged though will check if I have front fender trim Spears I can throw in.The obsecure gas filler neck on the driver’s side panel was for an auxiliary fuel tank that is no longer there.
Engine is a 400 small block, turbo 350 transmission and 12 bolt rear. Factory rally wheels and disc brakes.
The engine runs a bit rough from sitting so long. Per my mechanic the valves are sticking from the 20 year old gas that literally turned into varnish and smells awful! The tank needs to be dropped and boiled out and fresh gas non ethanol refilled. Foam cleaner needs to be run through the engine and valves readjusted per my mechanic. Going by what my mechanic said, cannot guarantee this will solve the lifter noise and missing though trust him and the engine doesn’t smoke.
I am selling the Impala in as is condition. It is a gem that needs to be preserved and I am thinning my collection. Serious bidders only and negative and zero bidders contact me before bidding. If you have any questions or want more pics before you bid please let me know. Also if you are in the area feel free to come look at it thoroughly before you bid as well.
