Up for bid is a rarer find. It is a real RS/SS 350 4bbl Camaro

The VIN is 1Q87K2N… The K in the VIN verifies it is a original SS 350 cars and the trim tag also has the Z27 SS option clearly marked/stamped on the trim tag .

It has its numbers matching 350 4bbl engine with the rare Rally Sport/Super Sport options .

This car up to recently was a 1 owner 47,100 original mile car that sat in a local garage since 1989. It still has the 1989 inspection is still there.

It was purchased new in 1972 from EF Moore Chevrolet in Conshohocken PA. by a school teacher an she owned it for the last 47 years. I did find a build sheet under the rear seat.

This Camaro was special ordered it so it has the RS and SS Z27 options and also has power steering, power disk brakes, Factory bucket seats, Tachometer and gauges, Factory floor console, AM/FM factory radio and Air Conditioning.

The color is original Covert Tan code 50. GX stamped coded rear with 3:08 gears and the engine suffix is CKD

(CKD = 1972 350ci, 4BBL, at, SS). The VIN also clearlyappearson the engine

It also retains its original SS 14 x7 Steel wheels coded "CL" for poverty hubcaps. Original jack and spare, It even has the original tower hose clamps on it to show original ality and not being touched .

Condition is starts runs pretty good, no smoke or noises but needs body and paint repairs/restoration as shown. The A/C belt is off but the compressor spins freely.

The frame rails are in good shape, trunk floor is really nice, The driver floor center only is little soft The trunk floorand hinge area are really solid. No history of accident damage, Original blue door VIN sticker still in place.

Bad area’s I see is both lower front fenders and both rear 1/4s need to be replaced. The original doors are decent to use. The dooes close nice. Glass is nice The hood and front are very solid. Trim is overall decent original.

Recently, the car was taken to a local mechanic to get running and had the oil and filter changed, fresh transmission fluid, brakes fluid flushed, fuel tank flushed, new points, starter solenoid replaced, and a new battery

The original TH350 transmission works fine and brake are good. The tires are older as shown

In sum this needs some body, paint and restoration but a
