1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Additional Info:
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this example of what many consider the "ultimate muscle car." This absolutely stunning 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle with SS trim is powered by a non-numbers matching 454 v8 paired with a Muncie 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. It is finished in Tuxedo Black and shows very. It is in excellent cosmetic condition both inside and out. Mechanically the Chevelle is very strong and it performs well.
The Chevelle has just recently received a new gas tank and sender, new alternator and voltage regulator, new stereo system, new clutch and re-surfaced flywheel, Red Line tires to go along with Black exterior with SS white striping and black interior, new master cylinder and brakes are in very good shape. It also has had a vacuum pump added for brakes. The car comes with receipts reflecting this work as well. According to the owner, the engine was built just prior to his purchase. Other highlights include power brakes, power steering, air conditioning, retro stereo with bluetooth/USB connection along with Alpine speakers.
The Chevelle was a mid-size model that was produced over a few generations starting in 1964. The second generation is arguably the most popular and featured a distinctly sculpted "coke bottle" body with tapered fenders and a rear quarter kick up. A variety of engines were on offer but the most potent and powerful being the 454cid V8 in the SS. The 1970 model year brought a host of changes such as a squared up front fascia and revised options. The quad headlights are probably the most well regarded Chevelle feature and typically hold the highest value.
