Trucks this old aren't supposed to be in this good of original shape, but this one IS. Built in California and bought in the Boise, ID area back in the day, this truck is a genuine farm truck barn find and was and is very, very well taken care of. You truly must see it to appreciate it, but hopefully the pictures do it justice.I'm the third owner, only having owned it for about six or seven months. I put in a new 350 ci motor about five months ago (hence the rebuilt/reconstructed title), after finding the original had a crack in the block. The new motor has a few hundred miles on it, but the truck itself has roughly 17,500 original miles on the odometer. Other than the motor and new LED headlights, she is completely original from the day she was built. The interior is immaculate. There are no tears or damage to the seat at all, nor cracks in any windows or the face of the dash. Truthfully, the only damage is a few cracks in the dash after the guy I bought it from turned on the heater last winter. The exterior is also in amazing shape with very, very little damage to the paint, and no body damage at all, save a small rust spot above the rear quarter panel. The patina on the hood really gives the truck a really cool look, and would make a great hot rod/rat rod. I currently have the original white steel wheels on it, but do have all four hubcaps, all of which are in great shape.
What it has and what it could use:Has-New motorStrong transmissionShow quality interiorFront ABSWorking heat/acVery bright LED headlightsWorking radio (depending on signal strength)2" lowering shackles in the rear (still have the original ones which. will come with the truck)Arrow straight body with no damage other than surface rustOriginal hubcaps, which are undamaged
What it could use:
Carb rebuild or replacement. The truck runs strong, but would benefit from a cleaner or new carb.
There is an exhaust leak under the cab, so even though she sounds great, a new exhaust would sound and perform much better. The brakes are a bit spongy, so could use either and adjustment or bleeding.
I never intended to sell this diamond in the rough, but life happens (aka no money to make it what it could be), so it's time to let her go to someone who can appreciate such a great classic.
