You want cool? You've got it with this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Super Cheyenne pickup. With a high-visibility paint job, a cackling small block motor and a luxurious interior, they don't come any brighter than this. It also helps that this one is loaded with stuff like A/C, power steering and brakes, the perfect stance, and a practical 8-foot bed that can still work for a living. Oh, and did we mention that it's a top-of-the-line Super Cheyenne? If... you're looking for a turn-key truck, they don't come much nicer than this. Hugger Orange looks great on anything wearing a Chevy bowtie emblem, especially something born in the early '70s such as this, and the white hardtop and low stripe does a great job to break up all that brightness just enough to avoid saturation. The investment in the sheetmetal is considerable given the results, and the dedication that put this truck together shows in every single square inch of paint that went onto its flanks. A glance in all the nooks and crannies shows that it was a full disassembly job, because there are no traces of the original color to be found anywhere (it was originally white over medium red). And thanks to the miracle of modern paints, it'll probably look this good for decades. Add some brand new bright stainless trim and chrome bumpers to break up all that orange, new badges, a neatly lettered tailgate that looks traditional, and a bed protected with a spray-in bedliner, and, well, you have a very solid truck. The flashback to the '70s continues inside with a very cool bench seat that was recently replaced and that looks and works great in this high-end yet utilitarian workhorse. Parchment is the truck's original trim spec (check out the glove box SPI sticker, which has thankfully survived the last 47 years), and the workmanship is quite good and once you're inside, you'll be impressed by the quality. Matching Cheyenne door panels and a set of plush black carpets add to the luxury-oriented vibe, and sharp-eyed viewers will spot the factory four-season A/C, which works is much more efficient thanks to an R134a refrigerant and compressor upgrade, although it is due for a charge. An array of factory gauges is included, all with crisply rendered markings and clear lenses inside a beautiful bezel, so you know no detail was overlooked during the restoration, and the dash pad up top is free of any cracks and matches the carpet below to tone down the bright colors of the cab perfectly. Finally, the later-model Chevrolet steering wheel atop a tilt column adds a sporty touch to the truck's interior, not to mention the added room for the driver. Looking for a truck you can drive cross-country without complaint? You've just found it. Part of that driving pleasure comes from the 350 cubic inch V8 fitted between the fenders. But even though it's a newer powerplant, it has a 1972 performance look, complete with an Edelbrock 600CFM carburetor atop an aluminum intake, an Edelbrock open-element air cleaner, Chevy Orange paint on the block, and a set of bright finned valve covers to make it look racy. The small block sparks right up with a flick of the key thanks to a brand new alternator and starter, and the whole show is kept nice and cool by the big aluminum radiator up front. It's backed by a stout TH350 3-speed automatic with a shift kit (have fun chirpin' the tires!) and a 12-bolt rear end, so you don't have to worry about actually putting it to work (this would be an awesome tow vehicle for your Camaro!). The underside is typical of a vehicle that has lived someplace warm and out of the elements, and while it's not restored for show, it has been well maintained and drives superbly. A pair of Flowmaster-style mufflers give it a mellow exhaust note and those painted steel wheels adorned with chrome beauty rings and Bowtie center caps are fitted with fat 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler radials for a great street stance. This is a well-built truck with great hardware and a brilliant paint job. The fact that it can also earn its keep around the house only makes it easier to get approval for the purchase. Call today!
