This L84 Corvette barn find has a very interesting history and tons of documentation
This car had been club and scca raced since new. This was an original L84 fuel injected car and is in the L84 registry. The car had been raced in various configurations from 1965 to 1978. Among the original title and purchase agreement, I have a file folder of old pictures and newspaper articles highlighting it racing history.
The original fuel injection and engine had been replaced with a 400 chevy at some point. Based on the picture dates 1967 vents and disk brakes were added in 1967 and the mild flares shortly thereafter. It still has the racing harness in it. I have the original side pieces and hood. This car would make a good vintage race car, restomod or restoration.
In 1978 a restoration was started but stalled and locked in a garage until I purchased it in 2014. The frame is crusty in the usual areas in front of the rear wheels. Bird cage is solid.
The top end of the engine was apart when I got it. It has a 65 M21 in it currently, and an additional M21 with broken case and shifter missing side cover. Tons of parts come with this car including extra radiator, headlight motors, door panels, factory new carpet, header/side pipes, soft top frame, hardtop, very nice seats. Passenger seat does not have hockey sticks. Bumper brackets, engine heat shields, NOS factory resisters, points, new pistons, old L84 pistons and rods, new door thresholds, flywheels, new rocker arms/pushrods, front bumpers, rear bumper cores, oil pans with temp bungs, a bunch of cylinder heads including 461X J292/J262;492 J174/J174. a 1969 350 HO motor and a box of fuel injection gaskets, dist collar, drive cable s-tube etc.
There are over 100 additional pictures showing parts and car, Please view additional Pictures at:
