Want one of the most intimidating, head turning, ground thumping pro touring 1966Novas anywhere? Well this one may well be the one. This incredibly slick Nova SS has that " Million Dollar stance" that turns heads anywhere. In fact twice, car shows have used this car for their feature car on their shirts, plaques and trophy's.
Drivetrain: While this is a true 118 SS, that is where the factory car disappears. The undercarriage and drive train are well built for the horsepower and handles like a dream. The Heidts front end gives plenty of room in the engine compartment, great handling and disc brakes. Inner fender skins keep everything clean. The frame is cross braced, while rear suspension is a 4 link rear with adjustable coil over shocks. Rear end is a Ford 9" narrowed to allow the huge new Mickey ThompsonSportsman29x18.00 r20 tires with 3.73 ratio gearing. That's 3 feet of rubber on the ground!
Exhaustis a full 3" exhaust which gives a deep throaty rumble that sounds incredible.
Wheelsare 20" Boyd Coddington wheels
Interior: factory style front seats (drivers side has some seam separation, factory SS console still in car, tilt steering Wheel, a really awesome custom sound system with subwoofer and twin Amplifiers mounted in the trunk. Trunk is fully detailed and has blue led ambient lighting. housing the gas tank and remote Optima Gel battery.
Body: the body on this Nova I would give a 9 out of 10. It is laser strait and body panels line up strait. Paint is clean, shiny and slick with a small chip on the inner fender next to hood and several small spots of bubbling under the paint right under where the drivers side window comes down and meets the vent panel behind hood. Another small spot on the trunk. Now I'm picking the car apart to a degree some would not but I want you to be happier with the car than the description when you see it. Aside from the above mentioned imperfections the paint is slick and nice.
Engine: Although the car was purchased and built to house an 1100 horsepower twin turbo all aluminum 427 ( slightly modified Ls3) with a tremic 6 speed transmission., it has a sweet 355 sbc and Turbo 350 Transmission. We decided to put the twin turbo into another build. This is why you will see the car is " badged" with "Zl1 427" emblems. It runs, drives and sounds incredible.
You will see in the pictures that everything under the hood is new, radiator, cooler, fans, master cylinder ect.
If you want a killer 1966 Nova that will turn every head anywhere, this is it. I am pricing it to move it. No high retail here. Note: the car is very low to the ground. It is the most aggressive look I have ever witnessed on a 1966 Nova. Just incredible
This car cranks with a bump of the key and drives and handles great. You can drive it anywhere.
