1965 Chevrolet Chevelle Additional Info:

1965 Chevelle Malibu Wagon. 3 owner original ARKANSAS car. Prior to me the original owner and nephew. Purchased car in 1999 from the nephew. All of which you see is how i purchased in late 1999. Prior to this it was a drag car from 1985-1998. Then after, car was revised to drive on the street as you see it. Current Body and vehicle condition and current status is... Original A/C car with tinted glass. All original tinted glass in excellent condition nothing is cracked. Rear gate window is manual. Enamel paint has been on car since i purchased. Second only repaint since original. No clue,as to what current color blue it is now. Trim Tag (Rare) Original Paint Code is (DC) Mist Blue/Ermine white. Interior color is also original. Trim Tag code 742 (RARE) Original Medium Blue imitation leather. The 65 Chevelle bucket seats were in it when i got it. I left the original bench seat with prior owner. The Carpet, all seat upholstery, dash pad, and all rear cargo area were new when i got it. Headliner and door panels are original. Of which there are two holes in headliner above roll cage pretty much out of sight. Door panels show signs of age on the lower edges. I did install a new chrome dash bezel about 5 years ago. Ok lets talk about the body. Floors and Frame are rock solid rust free. 3 doors shows signs of small pits i guess bubbles in lower corners. L/R quarter (center area) panel lip shows about a 2" section of the same. . All of these area's have been the same since i purchased. Otherwise car is rock solid rust free. I'll give the paint about a 5-6 on the scale of a quick enamel paint job. There is a Bolt on fiberglass 4" cowl hood on car. There is no original hood included. Chrome, bumpers, and all trim is in excellent condition. Everything electrical works on the car. Backup lights, horn, turn signals, everything works. The only thing which don't work is the glove box light. 1999 all drivetrain was new. Early 70's Chevy 400 small block 60 over mild cam. Runs great nothing over crazy perfect for street and highway driving. Has a world class TREMEC 5 speed. Trans was bought new from Tremec. Hayes 11" balanced flywheel and heavy duty pressure plate. has the original 10 bolt with a powertrack posi carrier installed. Gear ratio is4:10 That ratio with a Tremec 5 speed have been a joy to drive. New driveshaft also new. Has air bags installed in the rear which work great. The pump is mounted in the spare tire area. 3 years ago I did install a new flowmaster complete exhaust with 40 series mufflers. Sounds great.i also clean/stripped the ladder bars and repainted them. Maybe a 100 miles on car since. 2000 miles maybe total while i have owned it. Front end retains all it original components with drum brakes. The pics show all the accessories bells and whistles on the on the engine. Also has a line lock installed i never used it. 6 point roll cage with swing outs was from it's drag days. Cage was tied to the frame. Please look pics over carefully to see everything if not mentioned. I included a picture from last owner when driven on the strip. Pic included of additional misc included with car. Some original A/C items. New weather and felt strips for rear gate. Tail pipes, etc.. The original rally wheels that were on the car are included pics will show what they are. 14' on front, and the custom made i was told rallys on rear with the slicks. I can either say I want 20k for the car, or just list no reserve and let it go. The listing will be no reserve sells to highest bid. Now the fun stuff. you are responsible for all shipping and picking up. I can help load if needed. $250 down required within 24hrs after listing has ended. Remaining balance due in 7 days. Payments are cash and wire transfer only. Thanks and good luck. Great fun running and driving car. Clear title in my name. I just have too many irons and no time.

Some other info I forgot to mention and other details are nice to know.. First thing the flywheel is Not 11" but 12.5" and clutch is 10.5" The engine is a 1971 400 SBC bored 60 over. Which calculates to a 412 c.i. Rod bearings are .030 oversize. Main bearings are .010 oversize. bearings are clevite 77. Heads have hardened seats. Valves are intake 1.94" exhaust are 1.50" Compression ratio 10.01:1 All pulleys are polished billet aluminum. Timing cover is edelbrock 2 piece polished aluminum with an edelbrock gear drive set behind it. Suppose to be a non noisy set. However its does have mild wine to it and sounds pretty good if your in to that. ignition is GM electronic HEI with a MSD soft touch rev control supporting it. Guessing the brake booster and cylinder are from a later model GM something... either way, at the end of the day still has drum brakes. I highly recommend a disc brake conversion depending what your intent and liking is. Intake Manifold is an edelbrock air gap with a 650 edelbrock carb. Does have power steering which also has a billet pulley on the pump. Oil pan on engine is chrome. Cam I can't fully remember specific details but its an RPM performer cam nothing crazy. Rear end and suspension info. Powertrax no slip traction system. Rear axles are heavy duty moser. Control arms are from Alstons's chassisworks with the uppers being adjustable. Shocks are competition engineering adjustable. Rear aluminum girdle cover is from TA performance. The exhaust I installed and is the Flowmaster American Thunder kit. part # 17202. 3 years later and it still looks like I just installed it if that tells you anything...The doors on car shut better than any car I've ever owned. solid tight and pretty much one finger will gently shut them. There is a sun pro tach in cluster located where the original clock would be. Don't know if that was a kit a just a lucky fit. but when I changed the bezel it fit like it was suppose to be there. Front shocks are Edelbrock. Car also had a Subwoofer box located behind the rear seat. I had no need or liking of that and tossed it. However the power and speaker wires are still there. There is a rear trailer hitch installed on car was used to pull some jet ski's back in the day. Also went on two power cruises with car way back. Good chunk of the 2000 miles or less on car. otherwise its use is for just sitting and looking at it. Does have a driveshaft loop and the bellhousing is aluminum. The emergency brake also works as it should. One question... Do I believe the car will drive this distance or that distance if needed. Its drivable now so absolutely. however,I'm not responsible for anything beyond just common sense of knowing this could possibly happen or that. Head on down the road drop it in 5 gear and kick back. That fifth gear is wonderful for highway cruising. I don't advise any high speeds with the skinny tires on it. That or we can put the front rally wheels back on to cover that concern. End of the day the car is 54 years old and remarkably clean, solid and needs a new home...
