Any sighting of a vintage Chevy pickup restored to top form is a definite mood elevator, but when you encounter one that's been transformed to the stellar condition of this 1987 Chevrolet C10, it's an even greater trigger for enthusiasm. This is an outstanding specimen, representing the C10 model at its rugged, square-bodied best with its magnetic curb appeal, unusually fresh original interior and rock-solid running form. The radiant shine of this Chevy's jet black exterior... will grab your attention right off the bat. There are no worries here about the color's tendency to magnify any flaws it might exhibit on this truck - there's really nothing of note to encounter in that department. The texture of the paint is like glass and it wears a collection of chrome that's looking very strong - the bumpers both fore and aft are really impressive - and the badging on all sides really pops against such a dark, unblemished background. The stance on display here really strikes a great balance - lowered just enough to confer a definite air of customization via the added McGaughy drop kit, yet not so much as to compromise wheel clearance for everyday driving. It's pretty rare that you come across an interior that's still in original configuration while boasting the clean condition of this one. In all respects it looks pretty much as it did when this C10 first left the showroom - you'd have to look long and hard just to find any evidence of wear on the two-tone cloth bench seat, and the carpet lining the floor is unusually fresh for a car of this vintage. The dash pad spanning the width of the cabin appears to have been recently replaced and is a dead ringer for the original, while just below the instrument panel harbors a collection of clear functional gauges neatly organized to the left of the speedometer due to this C10's option package. Factory air conditioning blows cold and strong through the in-dash vents and a retro-look AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth connectivity now sits in place of the original to offer a broad array of audio options. Spray in liner protects the bed area in back, leaving it in top form. This vintage truck offers plenty of readily available, dependable power. The 350 cubic inch V8 on board sits in a nicely well-maintained engine compartment - not surprising, consider the pristine appearance shown by the rest of the truck - and is running like a top. It's fed by a throttle body fuel injection system that sits just underneath the matte black air cleaner and recently made a visit to the shop for a tuneup, where it left with new plugs and wires. A turn of the key and a tap on the gas will bring a smile to your face - this is a very smooth powerplant and it sounds great as it sings out of its Flowmaster mufflers. It pairs with a 4-speed automatic 700r4 transmission whose overdrive gear equips this classic with excellent, low revving manners at highway speeds. With featured power steering, it's also an easy navigator and power brakes that position discs up front make for low effort, dependable stops. A set of show-stopping 20" American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wrapped with fresh rubber, with beefy 275s in back, put just the right finishing touch on this ultra-sharp classic. After more than 30 years of service, the undercarriage is still looking solid and ready for plenty more action. The balance of a handful of tasteful added touches over a refreshingly authentic backdrop makes this 1987 Chevrolet C10 a rare find. Call today!
