You really don't see too many of its second-generation brethren cruising the highways these days, so this 1975 Chevrolet Camaro is a welcome sight. It features a strong running engine that's anchoring an eager, road ready drivetrain as well as a solid foundation. Whether you bring it home and get the good times behind the wheel started right away or opt for the long game as you take the necessary steps to take it to a whole new level, there's... a lot to like right here. Chevy took its prized muscle car through some serious changes when it trotted out the second generation of Camaros. With a wider track and a more aerodynamic form, they rode lower than their predecessors for an improved center of gravity and wore a fastback roofline to create a striking profile, amplified by the wraparound rear windshield added the very year this '75 rolled out. Clad in black, with a pair of broad white stripes running the lengths of its hood and deck lid, it holds plenty of visual impact in its present form, and some well-placed attention in the form of a trip to the paint booth for some freshening up would no doubt elevate its aesthetics. Reinvigorate the exterior or drive it as is - either way you'll have a nice, solid foundation at your disposal - certainly a huge plus as far as a classic is concerned. The exterior alignment on this venerable Chevy looks to be strong and solid. There's a sharp vintage interior just beyond the doors, offering front buckets and a rear bench seat whose two-tone black and white color scheme ties in perfectly to the door panels on each side. Just as is the case outside, this cockpit is ready for action just as it stands. There are some expected signs of wear here and there - although the back seat seems only lightly used - but there's nothing stopping you from climbing in, taking your place behind the thickly padded aftermarket steering wheel and getting out on the asphalt. The dash pad spanning the width of the cabin still has its supple look and doesn't show any cracks, and just below a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo stands by to tend to your audio requests. This Chevy left the factory with air conditioning on board and the plumbing is still in place, but the feature will require some attention to get it back online. This '75 offers a road-ready running and driving condition. Its period correct 350 cubic inch V8 sits in a stock, but well organized engine bay with a triangular air cleaner over its Holley 4-barrel carb and is ready to roll - firing up promptly and pulling with enthusiasm. It teams with a 4-speed automatic transmission whose overdrive gear provides low, engine sparing revs at highway speeds. Smooth power steering combines with the Camaro's low, road hugging stance to make for nimble handling, while power brakes that position discs up front provide low-effort, fade resistant stopping ability. This Chevy classic cruises the asphalt on a set of 15" stock wheels wrapped with Futura GLS Super Sport tires. Below, the undercarriage appears very solid, showing no signs of having been run aground during its travels. With its outstanding upside, attainable price and rock solid drivability, this 1975 Chevrolet Camaro represents a rare opportunity. Call today!
