1970 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
We are relisting our project 1970 Chevy original C10 pro touring short bed. We don't want to give it up, but the customer backed out. Read details below.
About the Project:
We had originally bought the truck for my team and I to build out as an all-go-no-show type build. Leave it primered, put some nice comfortable racing seats, harnesses and be able to run it as a daily driver as well as taking it to Fontana on the weekends and throwing it around some corners. It's why we left the suspension components clear coated verses powder coating them. So that was the plan until we had a client who was interested in buying it and adding to it. We took an initial deposit from the client, and after a couple months he ending up going through a divorce. By that time my father, who was my auto shop teacher, had some major health issues and while I can always build another one of these, I can't build another dad. My buy now price is way less than i have into it.
This truck currently is in a perfect spot for you to take and do what you want with it. Send the body parts to paint, drop an LS Drivetrain in it, new driveshaft, exhaust, finish the wiring, install the steering column, gauges and dash do the interior and would be one-of-a-kind unique truck. We were one of the first to do this swap on a C10, and i know there aren't more than a half dozen with this setup. Done right, this would be a $100K truck!
All fab work done by my fabricator Rudy Ludeke for our shop in San Diego.
A few points of clarity here. Clean Title currently on non-op status. Buyer assumes all shipping related costs. When it was first posted up here, i had several people reach out asking if we could re-assemble the body to make it easier for shipping. Yes, once we receive the deposit, we will secure everything safely, re-attach the body, and put the extra parts in the cab. Glass is still installed. Give us 3-4 days to get everything dropped on. But only after we receive the deposit from the winning bid.
I'm not why the first post received nearly 2500 page views and 47 people watched it, but yet no bids. So i wanted to clean the post up, because maybe the extent of the build was lost in the pictures i posted. I hope the new explanations will help. But please contact me if you have any questions.

- All heli-arc welded for the highest quality and strength
Body:
Body of Truck is in pretty decent shape, maybe 2-3 areas need to be fixed with patches (previous owner did a bad patch on left cab). Drip rails are solid, both door jambs are in shockingly good shape. Some minor metal work, small patches, incluing a small spot on the firewall. Body is currently primered. Bed is in usable shape, but would replace the floor of the bed just because it has been used as a truck. For show quality you'd want to replace. Let me know if you want additional pictures, we have over 300 and several videos. Truck was a non-AC truck, but does come with an extra in good shape heater box.
Other Details:- Completely rebuilt factory 5-lug, 12 Bolt Rearend with New Eaton Posi and 3.73 gears. Went that route because of T56 initially installed but would work great with a 4L80 as well.
- US Mags 20x8 (w/245/45/20 tires) in Front, 20x9.5 (w/275/40/20) in Rear.
- CCP Aluminum 21G rear mounted gas tank with AN lines.
- MSD 51psi LS remote fuel pump on the rails with Corvette style filter/regulator.
- Wilwood Master Cylinder, and PSI Brake Booster.
- Completely rewired harnesses using new age insulated connectors for quick connect if any part of the body had to be removed. New owner will need to build in truck harness down to body plugs as they see fit based on options.
- TCI line lock installed as our Parking Brake setup because the truck will only sit about 7-8" off the ground when finished, and no room for the original e-brake setup.
- Custom Fabricated Harness Bar using the old gas tank mounting points.
Just a quick NOTE **LS1/T56 in a couple of the pictures does not come with the vehicle that was sold. Was sold a few months ago because the client wanted to go to an LS3.
I hope you can see how unique the truck is. While almost all of the C10's out there have been built with air bags, this truck will handle and drive like any new car. With the right engine combo, hang on!
