1970 Chevy C-10 Pick-up
This truck has been my personal favorite since we completed the build 5 years ago. The pictures will show just how much has been done to this truck. From top to bottom nothing was over looked.
Body and bed
The cab was media blasted and all body work and fitment completed to the highest standards. All side trim, marker lights and bezels were removed The grill was replaced by a billet grill and we changed to a Goodmark steel cowl induction hood. The behind the seat fuel tank was removed and the gas neck hole was welded closed.
The bed is all new panels. We tubbed the bed to fit the wheel and tire package and welded up the tailgate and handle to open.Like on the cab the bed side marker lights and tail light bezels were removed. Front and rear bumpers were replaced with roll pans to complete the clean lines. A fuel ceil was installed between the tubs.
The truck was then primed and painted with "House of Colors Black Cherry Paint, color sanded and six coats of clear coat applied.
Interior and Bed
We picked a rich dark tan leather with small black cherry accents to upholster the cab interior. Seats, door panels, headliner and dash were all done in leather. We used a carpet that matched nicely with the exterior color. An I-DID IT steering column was installed alone with a Dakota Digital dash, and a floor mount Lo-car automatic shifter. We added a aluminum hide a way drink holder to the pull out ash tray and installed the audio amps and subs behind the seat where the fuel tank was. The custom Budnik steering wheel P/S, P/B, P/W, and Vintage heat and AC product a comfortable cab around town or on road trips.
The bed is just as cool as the interior. We had a cabinet maker build a rear storage box for the battery, tools, and cleaning supplies and a rounded cover between the inner fender tubs that covers the fuel ceil mounted between the tubs. We then had the rest of the bed carpeted to match the cab.
To complete the bed we installed a Pace Edwards roll up bed cover backwards. Because our tailgate is a fixed panel we could mount the canister in the rear with allows us to access the front storage box easily.
Chassis and drive train
The frame was cleaned and painted. We 4-linked the rear and lowered the truck 3" in the front and 5" in the rear. It's got a nice stance but doesn't rub and clears parking lot speed bumps no problem.
It has a built 572 ci Chevy big block and a 700r4 automatic transmission. A Currie narrowed 9" rear end with a Detroit locker finish the power plant. The fuel is delivered by "Street Performance's" multi port fuel injection system. The truck produces almost 500 rear wheel horse power. The engine is fully chrome dressed. The underwood and inner fender well paint is as nice is the body. I put above 5k miles on the truck since it was completed.
Wheels, Tires and brakes
The truck has power disc brakes front and rear. The wheels are custom Budnik 20x18's in the rear and 18x8's up front. Mickey Thomson sportsman tires full the wheel wells and don't rub.
Summary
Front to back, top to bottom, this is a one of a kind custom C-10. Nothing missed on this build. More than $100k in the build. I drive this truck. It is not a trailer queen, yet it is still a show quality build. If you have any questions please give me a call at 678-410-6278. Thanks, Don
