This is the 50 th year anniversary since the last one rolled off the assembly line. This one is # 5496 produced in the last Month Of May 1969 and I have owned this Monza for 30+ years, has the original 140 hp engine ( Rebuilt in 2018 ) has about 300 miles on it since rebuild. Carburetor's rebuilt with richer jetting for better performance. It was built in the 1966 configuration using the 66 110339 distributor for faster timing and cooler running unlike the original 69 140 distributor's which had over 8 degrees of LESS timing which made the original 69 140s run extremely hot and very poor performance.
The automatic transmission shifts very smooth with NO leaks. Breaks rebuilt with new wheel cylinders & hoses. All new Break shoes. Car starts great idles very smooth, rides and drives excellent, with no issues. The car was completely stripped repaired rust spots painted in 2k epoxy black and 2k primer then Painted in azure turquoise base clear coat in 2017, pin striped in dark blue. all rust cut out and welded in steel, Doors open and close with the solid GM sound. (No rattles). All windows roll up and down smoothly.
The windshield area never had any rust ever nor the back glass. Stainless steal windshield and back glass trim buffed to a high luster for that new look, Floor pans solid as well as the trunk area.
