I have for sale a 1976 Chevrolet K20 3+3 with approximately 83,000 miles. It has the Silverado trim package and is 4X4. Chevrolet did not manufacture 3+3 K20 and K30 pickups till 1977, so I believe that this one was specially ordered 4X4 from the factory.
The previous owner swapped the old Chevy 350 engine for a rebuilt 350 TBI (fuel injected) and a rebuilt 700R4 automatic transmission (4 speed with 30% overdrive).
The truck is almost completely rust free. The previous owner replaced the front fenders, rocker panels, drivers side floor panel, and one of the cab corners. From there he sanded down all of the surface rust and had the entire truck repainted. He also had a lot of other work to the pickup totaling around $5,000. All new brake shoes and drums and wheel bearings in the rear, motor mounts, steering gearbox, brake master cylinder, all 4 shocks, valve cover gasket, distributor, spark plugs and spark plug wires, AC condenser, and both front springs. I have the receipts from this work.
The pickup has been garaged since the new panels and paint. To be completely honest, the quality of the paint is good, but quality of the paintwork is not the best. There are some chips and specs in the paint that can be seen up close. I have touched it up and buffed it out the best I could. I also removed all of the panels and the bed this winter to make sure everything was bolted down and aligned correctly. I also realigned the doors, however, some of the pins that hold the doors need to be replaced.
I have all of the badges and most of the trim for the pickup. The seats are in great shape and the interior is mostly complete. There are a couple cracks in the dash. The windshield has a crack, but the local junkyard is supposed to getting me a new one off of a truck that I already payed for. I installed new hood hinges this spring, and the hood is not bent in the middle like many trucks of this era.
The truck had a toolbox when I bought it, but I put a new $500 Truxedo leather cover on it last fall. I also have a hitch and fifth wheel rails for the truck, but these are not installed currently. All of the lights work. Both the left and right fuel tanks work. All of the gauges work. The truck also has cruise control and an updated radio. The heater works, but the AC is currently not hooked up.
I have put quite a bit of work to get this truck to where it is today. However, the truck is not perfect by any means and has flaws. I was going to do a Cummins and a 5-speed swap, but I don't have the time to do it.
I am in no rush to sell. Clean title. I am looking to get $10,000, but I am very open to hearing offers. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.Local pickup only.
