With its exterior thoroughly refreshed and a gas sparing capable powerplant - likely original - under its hood, this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Stepside is one of the cleanest vintage trucks you're likely to come across. It's also received all the attention needed to bring it to top mechanical shape, so in addition to the undeniable curb appeal on display here, this classic is a very strong driver. A recent trip to the paint booth, as well... as the installation of a number of brand new exterior components has equipped this Chevy with a vibrant appearance. Its orange paint is a definite head turner, and it really looks great in this setting - it has a nice, deep shine and even upon closer inspection you won't find any overspray venturing into unintended areas. This vintage pickup retains a stock look from end to end and wears an assortment of new chrome that includes the bumpers both fore and aft, the side mirrors, door handles, badging and front grille. There's clear glass on all sides of the cabin, surrounded by fresh seals to keep the elements from intruding. When outfitted in shortbed form, as this one is, C10s from this era have a sturdy demeanor to them, as if they're eager to accept any challenge that might be sent their way, and while the overall showroom appearance of this '72 might make you think twice about subjecting it to any labor, rest assured that it's very much up to the challenge. After receiving extensive refurbishment, the interior is at its best while retaining an authentic, stock configuration. Glance inside and you're sure to notice just how many entirely new components are in place. The black vinyl covering the bench seat is well-fitted and, having been installed so recently, hasn't had occasion to develop any perceptible wear as its sits over black rubber matting that reflects this C10's practical, work-oriented heritage. New visors and door panels, as well as a GM Comfort Grip steering wheel, have been added to amplify the aesthetics even farther and a fresh dash pad spans the width of the cabin. While the gauges inside the cluster are likely original, they're functioning just as intended and are still clear and easily readable. Even the original AM radio at the center of the dash is in working order - a rare occurrence in a truck of this vintage. The bed area now wears new wood and chrome trim, with not so much as a ding in view to mar the effect of its ramrod straight inner walls. <BR. The exceptionally clean presentation of the engine bay is in keeping with the high standards shown by the rest of the truck. The 250 cubic inch inline 6 at its center is likely the original powerplant, and it's in strong running condition, firing up promptly and teaming with a 3 speed manual transmission that shifts without issue. The engine's unusually fresh appearance comes from a recent repainting and detailing and every hose and belt surrounding it is in top shape. Everything inside the compartment remains in stock configuration, with the exception of an upgrade to electronic ignition to improve overall dependability. Front disc brakes help bring this classic truck to fade resistant stops, while coil springs with factory specifications at both ends equip it with a surprisingly smooth and refined ride as it cruises on its set of 15" Rally wheels wearing Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. A winning combination of authenticity and strong running condition make this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Stepside a "must see" for any classic truck enthusiast. Call today!
