This 1956 Chevrolet Corvette has the sleek look of a true classic. But beneath the surface is the fuel-injected heart of a C4 Grand Sport. So take some time to look over this cool restomod that keeps everything you love and updates everything else to create an awesome one-of-a-kind machine. This is a bit stealthy from the first impression. The slick black paint with iconic contrasting white coves just looks like the two-tone of a nicely restored first-generation... Corvette. This restomod retains the iconic design lines that made this America's sports car. The subtle power bulges in the hood, rounded fender lines, and hint of tailfin are all pieces we love to see on a C1. And like any good '60s machine there was plenty of brightwork. Everything from the intricate form-fitting split bumpers to the toothy grille, it all has the mirror-like quality of serious investment. But it also isn't too hard to spot that this is an upgraded machine. After all, fuel-injection wasn't available in '56. And the while the polished American Racing Salt Flat wheels have a vintage style, the larger 16-inch size fill the wheel wells nicely with power â€" especially the extra wide rear ones. While this one comes with a hard top that makes this look like a sleek coupe when it's in place, we really know that your favorite days will be the ones with the roof off. After all, the red interior just looks like it's radiating performance from within this slick machine. The bucket seats are finished in a correct pattern made out of supple leather, and they fit so perfectly between the C1's iconic waterfall tonneau. The same red is used for the door panels, and now those are upgraded with better armrests and power windows. There's more bold red on the carpeting and lower dash. Plus, the black returns on the upper dash and shift boot to create a striking and coordinated total package. The radio has a terrific retro look, but it's a modern digital tuner with aux input so that you always can choose your top-down motoring music. You'll rest your right hand on the sports shifter, your left one on the smaller diameter red/chrome steering wheel, and gaze at all the upgraded AutoMeter gauges spread across the dash. All of these tell your senses to get ready for something special, even before you twist the key and hear the roar of the exhaust. You won't be able to resist lifting the hood and showing off every time you park this custom. After all, no one will expect to see a fuel-injected LT4 motor filling the engine bay. And the installation was done with the right care, so that this young Corvette motor looks like it was in here since day one. While this was terrific power in the C4 Grand Sport, you'll discover that this has been upgraded even further with a BBK Power Plus throttle body, HD aluminum radiator w/electric fans, and tight tuck headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. And you have full control over the modern V8 muscle thanks to the Grand Sport's ZF six-speed also expertly installed. In fact, control is a central theme to this build with upgrades like Heidts front end, front disc brakes, and rack & pinion steering. This is an amazing custom build for someone who appreciates true style and serious power. Don't let this custom slip away, call today!!!
