1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Additional Info:

Up for a No reserve auction is a 1987 Camaro IROC Z28. I purchased this vehicle with intent of resorting but I am thinking of letting it go since I have other projects at this time. I purchased the car non running and brakes locked up and been sitting for a while. I have since then, replaced the left front caliper and brake hose and now it rolls easily and brakes are working. I also got the vehicle running by replacing the fuel pump relay and I also drained the old fuel. It now does start and run but bogs down and stalls out. I checked the fuel pressure and it is down to 15 psi, so it looks like it will need a fuel pump. So, I really did not run it long or go any further. I do have a video of the engine running. I am going to try and describe the vehicle the best I can from what I can see and have found. It is a complete IROC Z which are getting harder to find. Has a running 5.0 TPI engine with headers and a true dual exhaust with mangnaflow mufflers. I do have the stock exhaust manifolds that go with that car. I also have the a/c compressor which goes with the car. The transmission was rebuilt about 5K miles ago and the previous owner provided me with a receipt from a local transmission shop. The fluid looks good and goes into gear. Really couldn't drive it to test due to the fuel issue. Looks like the fuel tank has been replaced at one time. I had the car up on a lift and it is pretty solid for it's age. There is only two spots of rot that I found, one under the driver's foot area and the other on the passenger wheel well area. I have pictures of both. but rest of the floor, frame, rockers, all look really good. Front end looks good, no major leaks, all in all undercarriage area is good. The body is pretty straight, no big dents, just a couple of dings. The right rear quarter may of had some previous body work, showing some paint cracking. The trunk lid and door bottoms show a little rust, but not bad. The worst part of the body that I can see is the windshield frame and t- top area. There is some rot and will need attention before replacing the cracked windshield. The hood was primed and the primer is peeling but the hood is in good shape with new louvers just installed by previous owner. The rear spoiler was replaced with one that looks like it may be from a late 70 s Camaro. The paint is a flat finish and the jambs were sprayed black, not professionally. The tires are junk, it does have the original wheels but were sprayed black. I think they can be cleaned up.As for The interior, it is complete except for the radio. Not to bad for the age. Worst parts is the driver's seat and the dashboard top. It has an after market tach installed and is working. The factory one does not. The oil and temp. gauges seem to work. It does have the 140 mph speedo. Odometer shows 70728 miles. I can't honestly say if that is true or not. I would go with no. The windows work, all the lights, and brake lights work. Previous owner wired the coolant fans on a switch on the dash. Windows are all good except for the windshield.Sorry for the long ad, I am just trying to describe the vehicle the best that I can and list everything that I know about it.This is basically a running project car and a cheap way to get your hands on an IROC Z. Itdoes have a clean and open title, Ihave not registered the car. Let me know if there are any questions and inspections can be done by appointment before auction end.
