Pull up to the drive-in or head to your local cruise night and you're not likely to see anyone behind the wheel of a ride like this one. This 1934 Chevrolet Cabriolet 2 Door Sedan is the result of one very exacting and well thought out build. Its super stylish looks combine with an updated modern drivetrain and some welcome convenience features that enhance both the comfort and driving experience it offers and having logged only about 2200 miles since...first putting rubber to asphalt, it holds the promise of many fun filled miles ahead. When the Chevrolet Master, upon which this Cabriolet is based, debuted in the early '30s, it was Chevy's most opulent and expensive model and, with its expansive wheelbase and lengthy hood, it thoroughly looked the part. This Cabriolet brings all that nostalgic style to the present while adding some inspired aftermarket touches, including a chopped cabin and shaved door handles, as well as a nicely executed bright blue metallic paint job draped over the exterior that's ornamented with some impressive painted graphic flames that have to be seen up close to be fully appreciated. A removable blue cloth top has been very well-fitted to the Cabriolet's modified proportions to provide shelter during more turbulent weather. Combine the light curb weight of this vehicle's fiberglass body with the powerful engine lurking under its hood and you have the coveted favorable power to weight ratio that makes for exhilarating driving. The beige interior sports a lot of great details, as well as several comfort and convenience features you don't often find on a car of this type. Both the front buckets and rear bench seat have a decidedly modern appearance to them, with excellent contouring and plenty of bolstering for support. The chrome Flaming River tilt column carries a very sharp leather wrapped billet steering wheel, while just a little farther forward a full assortment of Dakota Digital gauges have been seamlessly recessed into the center of the dash. Off to the right, you'll find an AM/FM/CD stereo to attend to your audio needs while you're on the road and it teams with a pair of concealed speakers up front, and a subwoofer positioned behind the seats. In addition to all of its style, this Chevy offers a comfortable driving environment - its air conditioning is in great form and its power windows work without a hitch. A fuel-injected 5.7 LT1 engine propels this well-built classic and it resides in the tapered engine compartment alongside a nice array of chrome components that provide plenty of eye candy under the hood, including the valve covers, alternator, braided hoses and air conditioning compressor. Sitting just behind the motor is a 4-speed automatic 700r4 transmission whose overdrive gear makes for pleasant, low RPM highway cruising. A chrome Jaguar IRS rounds out the drivetrain. It's become a "go-to" component on high end automotive projects due to the enhanced ride quality and reduced wheel hop it provides, and its pair of power disc brakes team with those already up front to make for a ride that stops with fade-resistant, low-effort dependability. Power steering makes this sharp looking cruiser easy to navigate as it rolls on its set of show-stopping Budnick wheels - 16" in front and 17" in back - that are outfitted with BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires. A look below will reveal a very sturdy steel frame that keeps everything in its proper position. Outstanding style, excellent power and some welcome comfort and convenience features make this 1934 Chevrolet Cabriolet 2 Door Sedan an attention getting ride that's also a lot of fun to drive.
