1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:
This beautifully patina truck turns heads wherever it goes. The motor was originally built by Lon Williams Racing and had a fresh rebuild and new transmission before I bought the truck and the drivetrain is bulletproof and smooth. This truck puts out 450 horsepower and the sound of that engine makes that fact clear. She won best in show the first time I took it out in the Red Bank Fireman's Car Show, among 1000 cars/trucks.
Why am I selling? I have a 1+1/2 car garage where I park this and my wife's freshly repainted, vintage sports car. I have a very classic car in the driveway that needs to get inside. I consider this truck my daily driver, although I don't drive that much and work at home. I need to get something that I can keep in the driveway and this truck needs to live INSIDE. I have to sell this truck and the opening price reflects this. I bought this truck in '16 for over 34k and it's a better truck now.
Everything works, it runs and drives as far as you want to go. The only issues are the wipers are a little wonky and don't work well, but I never take it out in the rain anyway. The air conditioning worked when I bought it and I never used it, in favor of opening the windows and vents. When I went to run it last summer I realized I had knocked the refrigerant cap off under the hood by mistake at some point, so it needs a charge and a new fan belt to get back in business. The radio works well for playing music from your phone/device, but the radio reception is pretty bad, probably can use a powered antenna.
