This is one of the most beautiful '65 Malibus that you will ever find! That's certainly a pretty bold statement, but one we think you will agree with when you check this car out. It is the product of an over the top frame off restoration with some sweet upgrades and lots of new parts. The Light Sapphire Blue paint on this car is absolutely gorgeous! That didn't happen by accident. It's the end result of plenty... of attention to detail in order to get the panels straight and true, and the gaps lined up neat and consistent. The effect is that reflections cut a straight line down the side of the car, even across the panel gaps, and the clear coat shine is miles deep. The chrome and stainless is all new and starts up front with the ridge of chrome down the hood pointing at Chevrolet lettered across the front. The grill of horizontal bars is flanked by quad headlights, has a red, white and blue bowtie in the center, and is underlined by a fresh, new and shiny bumper. Crossed racing flags appear on the front fenders and Malibu/Chevelle in script on the rear fenders. The rear is a rectangular affair, outlined in thin chrome with bold chrome strips connecting the taillights and Chevrolet in the center. Open the door and prepare to be as equally impressed by the interior work as you were with the body and paint. It is done in Black vinyl and is spotless, neat and clean. The door panel is simple in rectangular panels with chrome piping running across the top and bottom. The seats are freshly reupholstered and comfortable, so go ahead, settle in and wrap your hands around the steering wheel. It is a black two spoke wheel with a chrome semi-circular horn ring and a bowtie center button. There is a shifter for the modern automatic transmission on the column behind it, and behind that, a meticulously detailed out chrome dash panel with Dakota gauges mounted in place of the originals. Vintage Air keeps you cool on those hot summer days and there is an AM/FM radio for your listening pleasure. A new headliner and carpeting tie everything together and complete the flawless look of the interior. Under the hood you will find a more of that meticulous attention to detail lavished on a modern drivetrain nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. Flat black and red is the theme starting with the black air topper graced with Chevrolet and a bowtie in red. Under that, technology takes over for easy starting and efficient power with a FITech fuel injection system. The aluminum manifold is detailed out nicely adding some flash to the look and the valve covers are black with red lettering too. An aluminum radiator keeps things running cool and stock exhaust manifolds send the spent gases back through dual Flowmaster mufflers. Power flows back through a THM700R4 transmission to a 10-bolt rear end with 3.36 gears. The chassis of the car received as much love as the body and interior so go ahead, have a good look. Everything is new and spotlessly clean. Power front disc brakes assure good stopping ability if you decide to let the horses run, and power steering helps the car handle nicely. It may be a bold statement, but it's a true one. This is one of the nicest Malibus you will ever find. Be sure to ask your salesperson about the folder full on build receipts and restoration photos when you come down to check it out.
