1973 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
These second-generation Camaros were longer, lower, and wider than the first gen cars and this '73 was the last year with that beautiful split front bumper before government regulations forced a complete redesign of the front end. This one could be yours. Check it out. The color combination on this car is gorgeous. The Dark Blue paint has a bit of metal flake in the clear coat that isn't immediately obvious, but really catches the light nicely under the lights. Before any of that paint was applied though, the surface was prepped and body panels adjusted so that everything looked tight and right when it was done. Up front, those upgraded chrome split front bumpers look great. From there, the only badge on the car appears on the nose and bold white rally stripes flow up the hood and continue on the trunk running up and over the rear spoiler. The four round taillights are underlined by a sharp looking bumper with chrome exhaust tips peeking out from underneath. The look is kept clean with body colored side mirrors and chrome American Racing alloys complete the look of the car quite nicely. Open the door and you will find a clean and fresh interior that looks new. The long door panels are simple with an embossed pattern in the center with a nice armrest between two large door pockets. The high back buckets have pleated seating surfaces with smooth side bolsters and don't look like anybody has ever sat in them. A deep dish three-spoke steering wheel with a bowtie horn button sits on a tilt column in front of a stock dashboard housing gauges that are spotless with the thin chrome trim around them looking brand new. A factory tach sits to the right of the 130-mph speedometer with the fuel, water temp, and volt gauges flanking them on either side. There is an aftermarket head unit for the FM/iPod compatible stereo for your listening pleasure and a T-handle B&M shifter for the automatic transmission is mounted on the floor. Pop the hood and you will find a healthy 350-cubic inch motor nestled down in a neat and clean engine bay. A black air topper with a bowtie and Chevrolet in orange match the black valve covers that received the same treatment. They both compliment the orange wires that originate at the Mallory distributor and the Chevy Orange of the engine iron while a chrome alternator and radiator support add a splash of flash. An Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor flows into the engine through an Edelbrock intake manifold and out through long tube headers with Flowmaster mufflers which give this car a nice healthy sound. Power flows back through the 3-speed automatic transmission to a 10-bolt rear end mounted on leaf springs. Control arms and coil springs handle things at the front and sway bars both front and rear keep the car cornering flat while 4-wheel disc brakes give you some serious stopping power. The rubber meets the road through 255/60R15s in the back and 215/60R15s in the front mounted on those classic American Racing alloys. Come on down and check out this sweet looking '73 split bumper car with gorgeous paint and a spotless interior. Then take it home and start planning your cruise nights and back road adventures in it.
