The Chevrolet Camaro is an automobile manufactured by General Motors under the Chevrolet brand, classified as a pony car, and some versions also as a muscle car. It went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. The car shared its platform and major components with the Pontiac Firebird, also introduced for 1967.
First-generation Camaro debuted on a new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and would be available as a 2-door, 2+2 seating, coupe or convertible with a choice of 250ci inline-6 and 302ci, 307ci, 327ci, 350ci, or 396ci V8 powerplants. The Camaro was touted as having the same conventional rear-drive, front-engine configuration as Mustang and Chevy Nova. In addition, the Camaro was designed to fit a variety of power plants in the engine bay. The first-generation Camaro would last until the 1969 model year.

- All new front end suspension was installed on this car to restore the steering and handling back to the way it should be! This car handles like a dream! Everything from the inner/outer tie rod ends, control arm bushings, upper/lower ball joints, idler arm, sway bar end links/bushings, etc.
- Even the coil springs were replaced! Over time coil springs on these cars sag and lose their spring rate because they are usually always compressed. This decreases ride comfortability and handling capabilities. You won't find any of those characteristics on this Camaro!
- Everything down to the rag joint/steering coupler was replaced to ensure smooth turning!
- We have receipts to prove it!!
- Multi-Leaf Spring Suspension that is firm around turns yet glides across the road like butter. Very comfortable ride for a 50+ year old car!!!
- Custom Subframe Connectors that were fully welded into place!
- Seen these before but not sure what their purpose is?
- Subframe Connectors were not something you found from the factory and quite honestly it should have been included on their higher horsepower packages. Due to the fact that these cars were not produced as full-frame cars like the A-Bodies were, the weak point on a Camaro was the space between the end of the front subframe and beginning of the rear suspension. There was nothing connecting these two points besides a short section of 16-gauge sheet metal for the floor.
- Running high horsepower/torque numbers will create massive body flex which can in turn cause a critical structural-integrity issue.
- Not to worry! This '69 Camaro in particular was upgraded with subframe connectors (which you can see in the photos below) to allow this car to properly handle the power of itsEarth-Shattering468 Big Block!

- Custom Bent Fuel Lines and Brake Lines Front to Rear that are secured in place with custom line clamps.
- Most cars you will find that haven't been restored with a keen attention to detail like this one have cheap pre-bent lines that are usually dangling beneath the floors which is an enormous red flag!
- Low-Profile Bellhousing to protect the clutch/flywheel assembly from road debris or bottoming out on anything!
- Upgraded Grade 8 Cad-Plated Hardened Steel Fine Threaded 1/2"-20 Axle U-Bolts
- -AN Anodized Aluminum Hose End Fittings on the Fuel Line for a Tight Reliable Seal!
- Trunk was fully sanded down and painted with the correct factory-style spatter paint. Very clean trunk for a car that is 50 years old!
TakeawayTo briefly sum this car up, this 1969 Camaro is the quintessential classic muscle car that you’ve been looking for. Whether you have a collection that you want to add this car to or even take this car cross-country driving, this car is built for just that. Not to mention you can’t ask for anything better than an old-school High Performance Big Block muscle car with the handling and luxury of a new sports car!We encourage any potential buyers to please visit this car (if possible) as seeing it in a picture is just not going to do this car any justice. Please understand that this car was not frame-off restored yesterday and may have some imperfections.
