1958 Chevrolet Other Pickups Additional Info:

We have up for sales, this super cool 1958 Chevy fleetside shortbed apache. This truck had the same owner all the way back into the late 60's. He told us his dad bought the truck and he had two brothers and himself that all drove the truck through high school back in the late 60s into the 70s. He said they painted it a few times, put the dual exhaust and floor shifter in it and would drag race it on the blvd back in so cal. He joined the air force after high school and the truck stayed with him until about 3 years ago when we purchased it. It hadn't been on the road since 1994. It landed in Utah because HAFB is here. The truck still has the California black plates on it. I own a small dealership and really wanted to do a full high end build on this solid truck, but I don't have the skill and I keep paying people to work on it, and they don't do the caliber job this truck deserves. I'm tired of it sitting and even more tired of being unsatisfied by people work on it. So... The truck does run and drive. The original fuel tank is gone, and it has a spun aluminum tank in the bed. The front end has speedway parts under it and is rebuilt with manual disk brakes. It has a 5 lug conversion on the front, and a 6 lug on the rear. The original bench seat has been re done and it looks good. The interior is all there. It has a period correct sbc, I would guess it's a 283. I was told by one person it's original to the truck and another said it isn't. I don't know. It has a 4bbl intake and carb, but included is the original 2bbl. The truck had some filler in the back corner of the bed at one time. The seller couldn't remember what happened. The truck has very little rust. I have some 80's vintage wheels with new tires on the front, and a matching set for the rear. The bolt pattern for the front is 5 on 4.5. The rear is factory. It is a 3 speed manual transmission. It has been converted to 12 volt, but the lights don't work. (glad I paid for that to get done) and someone has re done the wood in the bed and didn't do a good job. It needs to be re done. You might be able to save the wiring and clean it up. I'll be happy to answer any questions and help with shipping. I am a licensed and bonded dealer in Utah. dlr 246A Test drives around the block are welcome, however I wouldn't fly in and drive this truck home unless you are a diehard roadkill fan and want to try out an adventure.
