Presented in its factory correct colors both outside and inside and gloriously stock as delivered with a numbers matching engine and gear box, it even includes the rarely ordered air conditioning option. This car is looking for a new owner who values those specific features. The quality of restoration is outstanding and the attention to detail will bring a smile to the face of the most discriminating buyers. As with any repaint, the quality of the job... is founded on proper preparation. It is obvious by the panel fit and finish that there was plenty of effort spent to get things right before laying on a drop of the factory correct, Silver Blue, code 912AA paint. It is a basecoat/clearcoat job that leaves no defects that we can detect in the paint. The look and body lines of this '64 are unmistakable. They catch the light and catch people's attention no matter where it rolls. All the trim pieces are in excellent condition, nicely polished up, and there are shiny new bumpers both front and rear. Finned rocker panels underline the body with a brushed and black look and the fuel cap in the middle of that iconic V-back roofline looks awesome. Proper badging appears with crossed racing flags appearing on the front and fenders and Corvette Sting Ray in script on the rear. Open the door and you are greeted by the factory correct, code 490BA Blue interior. All the surfaces look new and are in excellent condition. The door panel itself has a pleated upper and smooth lower separated by a piece of chrome piping with an armrest that sits entertainingly low on the door because of the super low seating position in these cars. A 3-spoke wood tone steering wheel sits in front of a nicely restored stock dashboard with everything working as it should. That includes the rare treat of an air conditioning system that this car was ordered with new and is reflected in the documentation that you should be sure to ask your salesperson about. The radio even has a card explaining FM reception hanging just in front of the shifter for the 4-speed manual transmission. These coupes have a good amount of nicely carpeted luggage room too, so go ahead, load up, get comfortable and hit the road, maybe to a car show or a cruise in. Original, numbers matching engines and driveline parts may not make a car drive any better than one with replacement parts, but they certainly make them more rare and desirable. The 327/365HP engine in this car has a clear VIN stamp and is the original iron. So is the Muncie 4-speed transmission. The engine is detailed out and spotless with a sharp chrome air cleaner and finned aluminum Corvette valve covers. It also has the very desirable option for '64 in the transistor ignition. The rest of the drivetrain has been gone through too with everything clean and dry underneath. There are all new steering components up front including new coil springs, and a new leaf spring in the rear. The brakes have been gone through and appear to have all new components, and the exhaust is new front to rear also. The car rides on 205/75R15 white wall tires mounted on steel wheels with hub caps all around. It is all very well done with extreme attention to detail. Anywhere there should be a clip or a fastener, there is one there. A quality restoration of a numbers matching, factory correct, car that should please the most discriminating buyer. Come on down and see what you think. You might start thinking that you will take this one home with you.
