1969 Chevrolet Camaro Additional Info:
1969 Z28 IN STORAGE FOR 41 YEARS
I’m selling my 1969 Z28 Camaro. I want to see it go to a good home and would like to see the car finished.
It has been in my family since 1974 and has not been driven or licensed since 1977. It has 62,797 miles.
Note that there is NO 302 engine with the car. It had a swapped in 307 for about a year before the 427 went in around 1975. The only engine that comes with the car is the 427.
Please see the videos below. One is a slideshow, the other a current video and the last one is the GM documentation verifying the VIN, options, build date, dealer etc that they provided in 1989. This documentation and any bills from back then will come with the car. It is an original Z28 but the original DZ 302 does not come with the car.******
I have GM Canada paperwork on it which I had requested and received in 1989.
The car is in pieces and has to be put back together. A vintage 427 comes with the car which also has to be assembled. It too has not been used since that time. The crank and cam are GM 427/425 HP (L72) pieces. Comes with an aluminum intake and Rochester carb. Compression with the pistons should be 11.0:1.
The car was originally Hugger Orange and has a white interior with the console and gauges.
M21 4 spd trans and shifter12 bolt rear posi.Cowl induction hood.
I had the floors, trunk and cowl panel replaced about 15 years ago when I started to put it back together but had to set it aside. The welds have to be cleaned up and I would POR15 everything.
The car is solid and has been in dry storage.
All the pieces come with it other than a front windshield, carpet and package tray.
In the photos it shows a couple of pics from 1975/76 when it was painted black with the white hood scoop. It has the yellow primer now.
This car is a time capsule as to what once was; I guess its a barn find. I hate to see it go but I don’t see finishing it myself anytime soon.
