...If You Want The Ultimate Show Stopper This Is It ! It Demands Respect With It's Nose Up BAD Attitude Ground Pounding Horsepower and That Great Horsepower Sound !!! My 1955 Chevy Gasser Begins with My Dad who passed away in 2008 and was a drag racer when he was a teenager and his nick name was 'Sunny' so that is where the Name came from on the 55's quarter's and In 2011 I was looking for my Dream Car to kind of match what my father had and Found it in the back of Goodguys magazine right away I was thinking Oh Boy Probably California or Texas! and I could not believe it but it was 10 miles away From Me in CT ! So it started off as an old drag car ( the Floors have Holes from a full 6 point roll bar at some point in it's life ! )Has a 4 point roll bar now. it had been converted for street duty in the 80's. It had a lapped out 350 in it with a saginaw 4 speed when I got it. I drove it 500 miles could not stand they way it ran it was a Dog ! so I tore it apart! Over the last 6 years, I started by putting in an old Ford Van straight axle (Not A Speedway !) disc brake Conversion in front and a Brand New Currie 9" Rear with 4.11 Gears.New Tremic 5 Speed. my Buddy has been Hoarding a set of Super Rare Dragmaster 6 slot rims from the 60's which I bought. And He also had a Old set of B.B Chrome Fender Well Headers and a Original 3 gallon 'Moon' Bumper Mounted Gas Tank . Put On Street legal slicks and semi skinny's in front. and a Old Tachometer from the 60's I had converted to Electronic.Put in a set of Original 66' Chevelle Bucket Seats . and Custom made Drive Shaft. I looked around for a motor, a friend of mine was restoring his old 66' Chevelle drag car ( That is the Picture of 66'Drag Car "Love is Blue" ) which has a 1968 #3935439 corvette 427 and He wanted a 502 ! so I bought it and had Les at Horsepower Engineering in Ellington, CT did a complete Overhaul as Listed :Crank is a Steel Nitrated GM Stock StrokeCam Hyd Flat Tappet 50/244 Intake /244 Exhaust/ 565 LiftPistons are Domed 13 1/2 to 1 ForgedRockers 1.7 RatioLifters Hyd Flat Tappet Del FiveValves SS one pieceAluminum GM Performance Heads 2.080 intake/ 1.880 Exhausthas 14 to 1 compression. And 2 years Labor Later the Car is up and RunningDyno @ 595 H.p. and 530 TorqRuns on Pumped 93 Octane GasNew Alum Radiator runs at 180-200 degrees All Day LongI Did NOT want him to paint the block and the heads were brand New so I painted them then wiped them down several times to give then the Old look.....When I was a kid I saw a 1955 Chevy with gold tubes Crower injection, which got me to thinking to put a Crower fuel injection system onto my 427 motor. So Les and I started fitting the 427 into the 55 and 6 months later it's Running and Driving then I sent it over to Don's Speed Shop in Newington, Ct to Start the Installation of this Old Original 1966 Crower Injection (that I bought in 2012 while I was at the Long Beach Swap Meet and Brought it Home with Me on the Plane !) converted to EFI with the stock Butterfly's so it would Idle and be a Lot better on gas and a LOT More Power . Well come to find out NO One has ever done that conversion for the street so Paul and Richie were up for the Challenge So 3 years and 500 hrs Later It Idle's and Runs Fantastic and Sound's GREAT!!! Probably Added Another 75-100 H.P..... As far as I know this is the only Original Crower fuel injection set up in the Country like it on the street !!!( This was from talking to Hilborn and every Injection specialist out there trying to Help Out ) I Have NOT Raced it I have Not Showed It and probably have put 500 miles on it in the last Year that I have had it Home.I have spent over $145,000.00 as you see it and probably 1000 hours running around and chasing parts and my own labor Building it..I have Had Many Changes in My Life sense I Started Building this Dream into a Reality and Have to Sell it Now So My Huge Loss is Your Gain If You Truly Want a" One of a Kind Street Legal Gasser" You won't Find a Better One like This One to being Accurate to a Real 60's Gasser as I have Been Told By People Who Raced Gasser's in the 60's..And Would Be The Center of Attention and the Biggest Thing To See at ANY Event ! Especially With the REAL Crower Fuel Injection System ! NOT The FAKE Don Garlits carburetor Hilborn Look A like Air Cleaner What a JOKE !....It Comes with a Brand New set of Floor Pans ( I liked the originals with the holes in them but was thinking someday to replace them) and The Folders filled with receipt's Car is being Sold AS IS In Connecticut they Do Not Issue Titles For Cars Over 20 years Old Look it up Please' http://ct.gov/dmv ' Sec. 14-166 ' Check with your DMV Please if you are unsure !
