1972 Chevrolet C-10 Additional Info:
1972 Chevy Pick up. 4x4. Runs great. Put 2500 in tires and rims on it last year and took it camping drive it over 300 miles and have cruised around just a little since then. . Has 454 motor in it. Pulley brackets were modified. Runs excellent. My mechanic says it’s a great motor when I had him inspect it, excellent compression no oil leaks. Said the power stearing pump leaks I believe he said out the cap some. Four wheel drive works. There’s a pto winch I believe in the front. Mechanic said it wasn’t hooked up but the drive shaft is there as well as other parts. I didn’t bother with paying to hook it up. Had a sunroof installed at some point and it broke so I replaced it last year. The door handles are pushed in on the knobs and I located old chevy original working handles. Those and the original mirrors as well as a few straggling parts will go with it. If I still have the chevy old rims around I’ll toss them in as well. You can drive this truck right now from west coast to east coast, it’s a great truck or paint project. If you aren’t happy with the condition of the bed, the guy I purchased the stearing wheel and door handles from may still have a the bed he offered to me for 100.00. This truck gives me more attention than I want, every where I go. I’m short and the truck is lifted, frankly I’m sick of climbing up to get in. It doesn’t have ac or a stereo. Does have cig lighter and ashtray, I think are original to the truck. Not sure if the cig lighter works it just stayed in the glove box. The motor was taken out the original 350 and replaced with the 454 when I got it. I’m not sure how many miles on either motor there was. My mechanic gave it some checking out and said it’s a great motor. It cost me a little to have the brackets and pulleys modified to get it running. It runs fantastic starts right up after sitting for a month after pumping the gas just a bit. I don’t have the appreciation a chevy loving man has for it so I’m selling it. Currently registered and insured, seats are worn under seat covers in usual places. What you see is what you get.
