Patina, the right upgrades, and powerful V8 make this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 a very cool total package. And it's all available right now for quite a nice price.
This one gives a perfect first impression. After all, a pastel green aged to patina is exactly what's hot right now in the classic truck world. The white bumpers, grille, and headlight surrounds really give this a fantastic workman look. Even the real wood in the truck bed is aged to perfection. But more than the perfect worn-in presentation, take a moment to see the larger picture. This truck is complete and straight, which is a rare sight on a 1955 3100. It the first year for the Task Force pickups, and they had a shorter production run because 1955 was shared with its predecessor. More than just history, the full chrome wheel covers with whitewalls are a nice hint at the upgrades within.
The interior follows the same line as the exterior where workman appeal meets some cool upgrades. The bench seat is complete and clean; the steel floor is a no-nonsense presentation; and the wraparound windshield gives this an open and airy atmosphere. While this has old-school charm, you'll feel a tingle of added performance as you slip behind the smaller diameter steering wheel mounted on a polished Ididt tilt steering column. And once your right hand grabs the Hurst shifter, you know there's something special under the hood even before you twist the key and hear it rumble.
There were 283 cubic-inch V8s available from the factory in the Task Force pickups, but nothing was ever as wicked as this. You can tell from the bold block paint, upgraded pulleys, bright valve covers, Chevrolet air topper, and much more that this is something special. More than just style, this small block has the performance substance of an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, aluminum radiator, and headers that feed a sweet-sounding glasspack-style dual exhaust. You have complete control over the enhanced V8 thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. So yes, this is a true hot rod under its patina the skin. Because there's more power, you'll be glad they upgraded the suspension, too. This includes a new front end with sway bar, Western Chassis Stage II lowering kit, and strong 10-bolt rear end borrowed from a later Olds Cutlass. This has even been upgraded to power brakes with discs up front.
Here's cool patina on the outside, hot road appeal inside, and pure power beneath the skin. It's amazing you can get it all for such an obtainable price. That's why you know this deal will be moving fast. Call now!
